Hopefully you are still subscribed to this dead thread!

Seal66 has a B7 A4 with Unitronic stage 2 + hpfp. Everything you guys show says he should be boosting 20 psi, but vag com proven, his tuning only requests a max of 16 psi. He has asked Uni about this, and was told it was because he is running bad fuel. He uses 91 oct just like me, and my REVO tune requests up to 24 psi with no issues. What's the deal? Can his boost be raised?

(Seal66) What turbo are you running? Also your right about unitronic. I had an issue with the tune but I was able to get them on the phone with a mech. Did you guys ever figure out why you weren't boosting what unitronic had stated it would?

It was the stock Ko3. The car that had the uni stg2+ was totaled due to a deer. I now run ME7

Does the stage 1+ upgrade benefit from a cold air intake and which type is recommended? For a 2008 A4 2.0 TFSI.

Our Stage 1+ software does not require any supporting modifications. The addition of an intake at the Stage 1+ level would be beneficial for a few extra HP. Let us know if you have any other questions!

hello guys! Im a fan of uni since 2007 with my ex Seat Leon :)

Well now I have an A3 06 2.0TFSI and the same problem as jimrobbington I got stage1+ and after logging I found my ecu was requesting 17.4 psis (2030mbar) max contrary the supposed advertised 19psis

I live in mexico and here we have 92oct gas, also Im at 1800 mts over sea level like 5900feet

I have installed file "Stage 1+ 93oct/98ron ldrfix"

I asked this to my dealer and he said it was normal but I have my doubts....

what do you think john?

thanks!

Can you upgrade the DSG without upgrading the ECU?

Unfortunately I don't have the power figures available to provide at the moment. I am working to make them available and will re-post here once we have the graphs and full data.

Looks like you have some K04 numbers posted. Is that with 93 octane fuel?

Figures were posted in the first post, yes, but it seems everyone is looking for more recent graphs, which I am working on making available. The data in the first post is as recorded on our in-house DTS Engine Dyno, so figures are at the crank.

Good morning John,

I have a 2013 B8.5 Premium Plus going Stage 1+ this week and after start looking forward to Stage 2 by Feb or March of 2017. On the Unitronic website I see just a downpipe necessary to advance to Stage 2. I was under the impression that Stage 2 requirements on any tune included an intercooler, Air intake, better Turbo inlet hose pipe, and HFC (High Flow Catalytic Converter) with resonated down pipe before the Stage 2 tune. I guess I'll be almost ready for K04 Stage 2+. I figure the mods previously mentioned help support the new power increase. What's your professional opinion? I am also getting a Dyno with my B8.5 stock and after Stage 1+ to document a real difference in Unitronic tuning, and again after Stage 2. The plan is to eventually share my experience on my build thread like many other Audi enthusiast.

Best regards,

Will.

From what I understand, Unitronic requires certain B8's to be flashed on the bench, but after that we can switch between the stock tune and whatever stage we purchased.

My question is why does it need to be performed on the bench first?

There are a few competing products that allow for the original flash to be done at home with provided/purchased hardware.

This is actually a big part of why I've not gone with Unitronic yet. No dealer closer then about 2 hours.
