*SOLD*
Selling my 1998 Audi A4, the car is FWD and has the 5spd manual. Has AC, power locks, power windows, power seat, tilt and telescoping wheel, Bose premium stereo with 6 disk CD changer in the trunk, and has the sport package. The great thing about being FWD is it gets a little better mileage than the Quattro cars, I get between 28-30 MPG on the freeway and just over 20 MPG around town. The body has 150k miles on it while the motor has only 120k. I work on Audis and recently put the new motor in the car along with taking car a lot of other maintenance. The exterior is in decent shape with normal wear and tear for a car with 150k. The interior is in excellent shape however the driver's seat is pretty beat up and torn. This was originally a California car so there is no rust at all, I also have the carfax history report showing that it has a clean title and has never been in an accident. Here is the list of maintenance done in the last 1k miles:
- Used motor with 120k miles - compression 190 psi across the board
- Brand new timing belt and all related tensioners and rollers
- Brand new water pump
- Brand new valve cover and cam tensioner gaskets
- Brand new motor mounts
- Resealed upper and lower oil pan
- Brand new rear main seal
- Replaced EVERY single vacuum line while the motor was out
- Brand new front passenger CV boot
- Newer bosch plug wires
- Brakes and tires are nearly new as well - replaced about 3k ago
- Rebuilt central locking pump
- Fresh Audi G12 coolant
I can almost guarantee you won't find another B5 as mechanically sound as this one. I've owned 6 B5s and would love to hold onto this car but I'm buying another S4. Car is located in Bellingham but I am more than willing to drive the car down south for asking price. $4300, I need this gone!
