Custom Exhaust Question

I am planning on having a custom exhaust made in a few weeks. The exhaust will be 2.5" press bent and the car is an A6 3.0T.

Will I have any gains from this exhaust? I know press bends are not as good as mandrel bends and that the exhaust diameter will decrease with them... My only real concern is that I will in some way be robbing my car of some power and I do not want to do that for just a prettier sound.

Would a 2.5" press bent exhaust be beneficial?

It all depends on how many bends are in the exhaust, but seeing that you'll be going from the stock 2.25" piping to 2.5, even with the crush/press bend, you'll be improving the exhaust flow. From research that I've done, the mandrel bends are definitely preferred and yield more gains than the press bends, but increasing the overall diameter of the exhaust is a plus.

Is the stock piping also 2.25 in the A4 3.0 exhaust? I've been searching but can't seem to find a definitely answer on that.
