Hey guys,
Got my a4 sold and test drove an S4...fell in love. Long story short theres no way I am going to buy from a dealer after what happened.
So, Im on the search for a local B6 S4.
Im very picky about cars, so it has to be very clean.
Must be stick, less than 90K, black interior. All records, etc.
Have $16,500 to work with.
Thanks

Well shit I must have just missed you at bell ford. I saw they had my old car pulled around. I didn't talk to John much about it but I can't believe they won't play at 16.5. I wish I had known you could have moved quickly on it as I would have just closed the deal with ya.

Yeah, again I had to be there much longer as the car was not ready AGAIN. He said it would be waiting and finished at 1:00...wasnt done till after 2:30. Finally rolled up and smacked the underneath on a nice big speedbump :( made my dad and I cringe big time.

Anyways, I agree with you especially with a cash deal, no turn around time for him, etc.
Love your S4 though, would have been perfect for me, was happy with the extra power over a v6. Everything was a plus except the service and dealing.
So the search is on between one of those or a cheaper e46 m3!

I had to re-sign the paperwork on the loan tonight, to make matters worse, until about 6pm, that car technically still belonged to me. The Finance guy offered to let me pull it out of trade to sell it, but I thought it would be a trap to try considering they did spend a large amount of money on it.

If you really liked it, I'd call back after a few days. They're not going to want to let that thing sit around.

Something wasn't meant to happen. The car was perfect but I have never seen so many bad signs from a dealer....everything seemed real flaky. I guess they fixed the CV boot and inspected it, then told me they put $1000 into it which I couldn't believe.

We'll see what happens, he didn't seem to interested on making a fast deal... Said they have $300-$400 of flexibility. Oh well

1k sounds right for full axle replacement, which was what it needed (slight popping from that corner). However 13.5 + 1k does not a 18k sale make. 16.5 is perfectly fine.

They were all singing the song of "whoa is us, this car will never sale with that many miles and model year, we'll have to auction it or ship it to another dealer."

They never did a full replacement, put in half the effort and just did the boot (I was informed by Audi N. Scottsdale).

I agree though, what a rip. He kept singing the 15K mark too (which is why I was interested in the first place) up until we got into his office and 18K was on the paper.

Yeah, that story is always bullshit with an American make dealer. They LOVE to have german cars on their lots so they can put it up-front and have some halo effect.

I have my b6 s4 tip with 77K on it, I am looking to sell outright as the dealer is giving me nothing for it.
