Sorry for the rant but the wait has been well over three months now. My original eta for arrival was 12/6. As of today the car still shows at the port in Germany waiting to be loaded with a new load date of 12/15. Which means another 2-3 weeks until delivery. I already have E-Codes, RS4 pedals, RS6 flat bottom with silver stitching, APR RSC exhaust, Vogtland Coils sitting in the garage just waiting for the car to arrive. Also put a deposit down on the APR software.

I can't even imagine waiting that long, what a test of patience. Based off the low volume of cars that most Audi dealers stock, it would be nice if they streamlined their custom ordering process. BMW's takes about 6 weeks. I had ordered a 135i prior to purchasing my S4. It worked out for the best, because if it wasn't for getting tired of waiting - I would probably be driving the 1 right now. At about week 5 and lack of communication from the BMW dealer on the progress of my car, I decided to look at other cars. That is when I fell in love with the S4.
As others have mentioned, it will be well worth the wait.

I'm in the same spot as you but not the same "boat"-lol, Audi said it would be loaded Nov 16 and instead was loaded Nov 24, my original date was 12/27, now it is 1/10. Im like you, I really hope I dont miss Audi Loyalty since Im due to get it after it expires. I also thought loyalty stop 1/4/10 not 1/7/10. Maybe its a conspiracy to hold back all *SOLD* cars since they know we have a deposit down on them? That way it doesnt effect Audi of America since that is who is running the loyalty program. I doubt thats the case. Probably just back up in shipping.

Don't be mad at Audi - once the cars leave the factory for shipping, Audi has zero control over the shipping, loaders, and port inspections. Congrats to everybody waiting for their cars. There's an engine shortage now and new orders have to wait even longer.

I'm now in your boat as well Mike.
My car was supposed to arrive in Halifax tomorrow - I just got word from the dealer that it's not on that boat, but rather it'll be on a boat arriving December 30th. I figure I'll get my car around the same time as you.
Disappointed? Yes, but it'll be worth the wait when it finally gets here.

This isn't looking good for me. I ordered custom VAG color on November 17th. I guess I won't see mine until March. I too have ordered a bunch of parts that are going to be collecting dust. APR RSC exhaust, JHM Short Shifter, deposit on APR tune.

I'm now closing out any hope for seeing it in December- I thought the wait wouldn't bother me but it's been tougher than expected. Looks like another month worst case, which really isn't bad- 2 months total. I haven't been getting shipping status updates like some of you guys, but I'm pretty confident in the date now.

I've driven by everyday haha. No they're prestige models where mine is only premium plus. I asked my salesman and he said hopefully the car will get here tomorrow or Monday. I'm kind of bummed there are two cars rolling around that look exactly the same as mine hah

just looked at the other dealers inventory down the road and the he just got 2 new S4's with higher sequential Vin numbers.. OUCH!! I think I should probably call my SA today

Mine told me (verified with Audi) that since I ordered in 2010, the Audi loyalty money ($1,500) would be guaranteed even though my delivery date is set in 2011. I got a good apr locked in too, but unfortunately they wouldn't honor the "free first car payment" special that ends 1/4/11 [:(]

I'm trying to translate your experience into what may happen for me. My car is scheduled to arrive in port 12/30, so it appears (based on your experience) that depending on how quickly it gets released to be loaded on the truck/train, I should bank on 2 to 3 weeks before the car is in my hands.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Once the boat is underway, it seems to roll of the list in the pdf. If you go to the marine traffic site, you can see the estimated arrival.

You can check back on the marine traffic link and you'll see the progress updated, however there is a time period where the boat is in the middle of the ocean where you see no updates because it's 'out of range'.

I thought he said Dignity Ace. I've looked at that boat schedule so many times maybe I mixed it up. I do know it's scheduled to be in port around the 3rd. I'll have to ask him again.

Special Thanks to all you guys for listening to me vent, it was quite an experience and I'm really glad these threads on tracking the car, waiting, etc were all very active. It’s great to see everyone’s stories and learning the logistics of a car delivery. You guys kept my mind busy for the long wait- Thank you guys and I hope you all get your cars soon.

well it will be tomorrow or monday for me. my SA said they couldn't get a hold of anyone at the port but it's been release to the carrier so if it got loaded on a truck tonight it will be there tomorrow morning, and if not I probably won't get it until Monday. Fingers crossed!

I guess you can lock it in any time while it is still valid (until 1/3 or 1/4?). My dealership had to "contact Audi and request permission" or something like that which took a few days. But I don't think people custom order their cars from my dealership all the time, I may have been the first person to ask that they guarantee me that damn loyalty money lol

Nice. So I guess Baltimore was just the next stop on the itinerary at the time we looked it up. It'll update to Brunswick as soon as it leaves port.
My boat arrived on the 30th, but hasn't been released to carrier (as far as I know), but I'm hoping my SA will have more info in a day or two. Crossing my fingers for the second week of the 17th in my hands.
The Dignity Ace should be hitting the Baltimore port tonight. Brunswick GA stop has a new ETA of 1/5. So hopefully by late next week my car will be here!

Reading this thread is not making me feel any better - I ordered my car on December 9th and was told the typical "80-90" days for delivery, putting me at early March, which is what I wanted (don't want to take delivery of a new car during a NJ winter). Got a call today saying my order wasn't pulled this month (or December, obviously), but I'm guaranteed a build date in mid-February, pushing my delivery to mid-April. He claimed it was because of my custom color (Daytona Gray), but I don't buy that. I think he jerked me around with allocation, but not much I can do about that now, other than wait, and wait, and wait....

Custom color could be a little longer wait so that could be right. April will be a good time to take delivery, good luck, stay away from the forums it only makes it worse!

Ordered '11 S4 Black Peal Effect, Titanium Package, B&O, etc., etc. on November 15th and checked on January 17th with the dealer. He ran the AccessAudi screen and status still shows as I.S. Order Bank (5)*. Anyone have any ideas on when I can expect the status to change?

Terrific. My guy told me that it should be built in February with a late February or early March delivery. At this point, his info is looking suspect. When did you order yours and has the status changed?

I order mine Nov 21st... Went to the dealer last Saturday, he showed me the sheet and my car was on the "waiting list"... This sucks so bad, I really want my S4 before Show and go in April :(..

Well, I got an update the hard way! I went to the dealer and told him that I was thinking about adding the NAV system. He, in turn, forwarded me the response from the Audi USA guy. It may be too late on the adder (no biggie from my perspective), but he is going to check. The Audi USA guy also forwarded a "new" Accessaudi screen that shows mine will be built the week of Feb. 7, when it is scheduled to leave port, etc, etc. Anticipated arrival at the dealer on March 21. On this new screen, even my commission number changed so it seems like the dealers may not even have full access to order status. Now, at least I have some firm dates to look forward to! As close as your orders are to mine, you shouldn't be far behind.

Ordered mine in Oct... October 2nd to be precise. Was told yesterday that mine won't enter production until mid April... and, I'll be lucky to receive it by mid-June. I've lost my enthusiasm for the whole process... Yesterday I was angry (livid actually)... today I'm just depressed.

I ordered in early December, and was told I would be "first in line" in my area so it would go into production soon after.
Even so, I'm afraid to check in to see the ETA or progress thus far. No news is good news, I don't want to get all pissy [:/]
