I'm in the same boat as you, Jon.

I have an '05 2.7T allroad with tip...I am considering getting it chipped too...

I'm not sure how much you know about this, but I will assume that you are new to the "chipping" issue.

But, yes, those are the gains that you can expect. The only real issues are with the warranty, and whether or not you are willing to risk voiding your warranty with respect to anything the chip may affect (like the turbos)...assuming of course you are still under warranty...

Everything that I have heard/read suggests that chipping an allroad makes a huge difference in pick-up...the car is just more fun to drive. Some claim better gas mileage too...and some claim that the day-to-day driveability is also improved.

On top of that, most people that I have talked to think that the 2.7T, as it comes from the factory, is really de-tuned, and that most chips really don't anything beyond the practical limits of the engine...so, in that sense, it doesn't seem to be a huge risk...but, there is still at least some risk.

In case you don't know there are quite a few companies to choose from. Check out the "GIAC vs. Revo vs. Dahlback for allroad?" thread that I started in the A6/allroad forum. In one of the posts, I listed what I have heard about several of the different companies.

FYI, because I am still under warranty, IF I decide to do it, I will probably go with Revo. However, if I wasn't under warranty, I would definitely go with Dahlback (check that post I made for the reasons if you want).

I hope gave you some info that you didn't know yet.

Let me know your thoughts...like I said, I am still considering it myself.

Thanks,
