i may be a pesimist(sp) but it looks like a fancy peice of video editing... when they show his face you don't see any of the tree's or people that the roofcam shows. plus it looks like the roof cam video had been sped up a little...

it's crazy, but real. it used to look like this in European WRC during mid 80's. in fact this class had to be canceled due to too many deaths among fans as well as among drivers. (btw. that car is a short version of Quattro "S" with huge KKK and 600 ps!!! it's very rare, but you can still buy here for like 130k USD- is anybody interested) :-)))

right on. rally driving in the eighties was just like that until all group B cars were banned due to accidents involving dead viewers. we had several bad accidents in the portuguese rally. One of the Sintra stages involved if a remember it right, seven dead people and was standing a 1km down the road with my father. It was a mess!
