You just sold it because there is nothing else to do with it? I highly doubt you are at the end of the line with performance mods. Why would you sell your car when you don't have another? I feel like we are missing half the story. Crazy car by the way. Not my style but still interesting with the air bags.

I can't imagine living in Houston without a car... it's too spread-out w/out a decent public transit system. Hey is that the apartment complex on Westheimer/Hayes?

I am not speaking about T-Audi's situation, but in general response to your theory, why do you think the country is in such finiancial chaos?
They are called credit cards.
Obtaining items is the easy part, eventually paying for them is not.

hey man, you're preaching to the choir... don't get me started on foolish financial decisions people make, it'd be a long-winded conversation...most of my friends bear this giant visa bill on their back... and it astounds me.
i doubt i'm the only one here who saves plenty more than I spend, but f*ck you're right - some people are ridiculous. i heard a conversation in a restaurant some time ago between a group of chicks (25ish?) "why worry about the debt. you're never gonna be able to pay it all off so just do what you want now"
not to mention in this very b8 a4 section i've seen people (multiple) telling a guy who admittedly couldn't really afford to keep in the audi family to "just get the car u want its only money" ...it kind of made me lost faith in AZ for awhile. but then the crackfiller thread rekindled my love.
the only reason I'm giving t-audi credit (i know you weren't speaking of him - but just to clarify) is because i just don't think it's fair to say he blew it all and is poor - without knowing the situation. kind of an unfair assumption.

Completely at a loss as to why he sold it also[confused]
So much work/effort, and so many rims (5 sets?)[:(]
Didn't always agree with his mods, but IMO balls+4 for trying.
Suspect one more victim of the economic tsunami[mad]
Best of luck, T-Audi, we'll miss you.
Cheers[drive]

Enough is enough[mad]
Kindly explain to members why after so many mods over last year+ you've decided to sell it[confused]
I initially didn't like what you were doing - think I called it a Houston snow plow - but I learned to like it, especially after seeing so many extreme dropped air-ride MB's at my installer. Since then I've supported your efforts, even when I didn't agree with them.
Now you once again refuse to provide members an answer as to why you're selling, yet you created this thread[mad]
Not interested in how you pay or cash flow situation, simply members here want to know why you are selling.
Cheers[wrench]

Dude, you are a moron. I have said it once, I'll say it again.
This is your situation. You claim to have 3 cars, you claim to have none. You live in an apartment complex. You spend way too much money on your ride. You don't know how to type, and English is probably your second language( or at least I would hope so).
You probably over spent on your credit cards and are in some serious financial debt, and therefor sold the car.
Have fun living in your apartment complex buddy! With no car, and probably worse things then that to worry about right now. I would suggest taking a few economic classes in college, and then taking some self-help classes to straighten out your priorities. Maybe take an English class while you are at it.
C ya!

simply for arguments sake: (i don't care if the guy is rich/poor/living wherever...just presenting the facts)
calbees question was "what are you getting instead of the audi" not: "what other cars do you have".
he said he's getting nothing to replace the audi.
this doesn't mean "i don't have a car anymore"

I guess you are assuming that living in an apartment equals poor financial position?

Actually, given the state of the real estate market over the past few years, there are far better investments out there. I rent and happy I do....I have better opportunities to invest my money. People tell me all the time..."you rent and you drive an Audi....what gives?!" Better things to do with my money....thankfully.

Interesting convo.
The guy is a car enthusiast like all of us here. He has quite a few posts. One day he gets rid of the car and being an active member here he wants to share the news with us. What does he get in return ? Some weird accusations about his financials. I find this very low. Maybe and only maybe, as a courtesy he could’ve mentioned that it was/was not the performance or quality of the car which prompted him to get rid of it. It’s definitely none of anybody’s business here to question his motives or financial condition and that is regardless whether or not his story about having/not having a car makes sense.
Cheers !
