My B6 A4 1.8t

hey im new to the forums but i wanted to introduce myself and my ride. i am not new to audis what so ever, it started with my moms b5 s4 avant with o.z. wheels from the factory when they were new. then my dad had an A8L with s8 wheels. we just recently sold a B7 s4. weve also had lots of porsches in between the audis. anyways on to my ride. yes i am only 16, i got this car from my granddad, the car was his florida car and never really drove it. he unfortunatly had heart problems and is now unable to drive. around the same time i waas getting my restricted at 15 and a half. so i got the car. i have to say thi was the best thing that ha ever happennd to me. lucky me that i didnt by the car i was just about to by in a week. it only had 49k miles on it! so anyways here it is now, Unfortunatly its all stock except for 20% tint and 6000k HIDs that i ordered. It wont stay stock for long though, first off im going to go with B7 s4 bbs wheels and at the same time put H&R lowering springs on it. then comes the fun stuff, next will be a carbonio intake. next will be magnoflows. then anapr stage 1 or 1+ chip. last maybe waaaaaaay down the line a k04 turbo. not that extreme but good enough for me!

ya i also had an extremely hard time finding a system for it but i talked to the mjm autohas guy thats on here and he was having a special on magnoflow cat backs so i asked him if he had one for my car. So he told me that he talked to a rep for magnoflow and the rep said that a b6 1.8t fwd a4 exhaust fits the convert. So me and him were a little skeptical of this so hes giong to call magnoflow and see if its true.

little update,
well i went ahead and got my timing belt and water pump replaced. during the time that they hd the car they also discovered that i had a broken engine mount and a cracked head gasket. yay! haha. so, after the dent in my wallet, i get the car back and after about a week, i started it up one mornng and the esp and abs brake light were on. so i was rather confused about this. as i drove it it started jolting sometimes. i was confused because it felt like the abs brakes were just randomly pulsating. long story short i took it in and it turned out that my abs control box went bad and the car went into limp mode. it is in the shop once again unfortunatly. on the good side of things i did get my 600k hids in when i got my timing belt and water pump replaced. also i just put in an order for lowering springs today.

no word yet i think im just going to go for the cheaper solution and go with a test pipe and remove the resonators. Lowering springs are in!!! will take pics soon, i have to say they are very nice and ride good!

Looks awesome. Hey btw, any idea of how to retrofit the B7 Cabrio tails onto the B6? I've seen it done a bunch and was wondering how easy it was

yea i think there was a thread in the convertible section on the b7 lights. i think its a direct fit as far as i know, besides the adapter

alright a tiny update, i made the footwell lights red, i am actually really impressed with how it looks! the cheapest/best looking mod ive ever done.(its not as bright as it looks) credits to my friend who came up with the idea

b7 tail lights fit onto b6 perfectly, although the wiring is not the same and some have to be spliced together. the cabrio looks great by the way :). what did you use for the red footwell lighting? just replace the bulb? or is that LED?

Using brake light tape like that is a pretty cool idea! I did my interior with LEDs a while ago.

Any FWD auto exhaust should fit. Might wanna snag one made for an avant or ultrasport though, I believe they were slightly shorter

alright, finally! i got my car reflashed a couple days ago with apr stage 1. It makes a great improvement over stock, gutted cat is going in in a week or so...

it gives you both, it frees up the turbo and its a straight through cat without any restrictive materials in it

Also put my gutted cat in, it really helps the turbo spool quickly which is a big plus, but it didnt really change anything sound wise unfortunately. So to give it more sound i think im going to get the resonator taken out soon.
