Well I ordered a s4 to replace my 2007 S6 V10. Actually I will see where I am in a couple months when the car comes in. There is a slight chance I might be able to keep both. What do you guys think? The s4 has a bunch of audi exclusive options also. Also I have had the s6 for only 3 months.
Basically this post is because my friends are calling me a asshole but I dont see how. [o_o]

Its just that its so big and boring. Is it fast? No, its quick. Its just pulls like a train but with no excitement. I really just want something more agile.

S4 is smaller (so more agile if you think the S6 drives like a boat), and definitely misses a great exhaust sound with stock exhaust on. The latter can be fixed but it will never sound like the V10, or even a V8. If you can live with those, the S4 is less expensive and is definitely fast. Get the ECU upgrade too [;)]

Yeah the s6 is meant for the autobahn. Its feels like your going 70 even at 150 haha. Its just a big comfortable highspeed crusier.

Obviously you should first dump those 'friends'. How can you call that friends if they are calling you an a$$hole because you are having a moral dilemma.....S6 V10 versus S4 versus S6 V10 + S4 versus....
Let me be your friend and i will help decide (can you ship the S6 V10 during the weekends to Europa?).
*Not sure how serious this topic should be taken ;) , but you sir have a problem i think.
But maybe it is just me beeing healty jalous about your car choise/dilemma. Glad it was slightly easier for me, the A4 B8 2.0TDI diezelpower or the crappy old golf 3 1.9TDI.
Got to love the kioto-norm and taxes...But afterall i love my audi ;) .

Have you driven a B8 S4 yet? I've been well over 100 and it still feels like 60. I (too often) find myself cruising along and look down and I am doing 80+, it's a very smooth and deceptively fast car. Quietest car inside both at speed and idle of those tested in all of 2010 models from C&D magazine.

I don't understand the logic of asking strangers if you should keep two cars. Thats a financial decision you need to make based on information we will never have.
Seems to me a pointless question to let everyone know you have a S6 and an S4. Congrats. [:D]

Its not a money issue. Its the fact that they are two different cars and people here can give me views/likes/dislikes on their cars. A big thing is the aftermarket support for the s4 while the s6 virtually has none.

I am in the minority around here but I never liked the look of the A6/S6. =\ While I appreciate its power, I know I can't use it legally here anyhow and it's not like I am going to take a S6 to the track, so there's no real use. IMHO the M5 is much better looking. Nevertheless, it's still a good car, and if you just want something more agile, and can live with less interior space, the S4 is great. No V10 power but it's sufficient for most driving purposes... I am always speeding without knowing because it's hard to feel how fast you are going in this car (could be a good thing or a bad thing). Either way, enjoy your car(s)!

Any links to those tests? I moved into a '11 S4 from an '08 E90 335 and the only time the 335 was as loud (road noise) was when it was time to replace the tires and even then it was arguably quieter than the S4 with PZero's. Every person that has ridden in my car has commented on how bad the road noise is in it. I suspect the PZero's have something to do with it but at highway speeds it can be anywhere from "turn the radio up" annoying to totally obnoxious depending on the road surface. A buddy of mine, H82W8, that bought a '10 S4 actually had the dealership swap his tires from the Pzero's to Dunlop's after a few hundred miles because it was so bad.
If you don't mind, what tires are you running on your car?

Hey man... if i was you the only car i would upgrade to is a 997 porchse turbo. The S6 is an amazing car and there is no way i would ever give it up. If your looking for something more sporty get yourself a coupe, you already have a sedan, why get another?
Obv. this also depends on your financial position.

I should stipulate that I am talking about combustion engine cars, nothing will be as quiet as a hybrid with a much smaller engine or a plug in [:)]
I'll have to dig for where the overall stats for the year are, in the meantime here is the 335 vs S4 comparison for the 2010 models which C&D did (and the year it awarded the best car to the S4)
http://www.caranddriver.com/var/ezflow_site/storage/original/application/1f6edf33ef36341db1ba38eb2bb9f13b.pdf
Note that the decibels are in the second to last column to the right, the largest difference is idle, but even at 70mph and WOT the S4 is notably quieter than the 335i.
I have stock 18 wheels with the stock Pirelli rubber on it.

Well if you want to get technical, your thread title is actually a statement with a rogue question mark at the end of it. Your "question" is the same as "I'm Ron Burgundy?" The question in the body of your post was merely you telling us that you ordered an S4, telling us you have an S6, saying you may keep both, and then saying "what do you guys think?" Think about what exactly?
So I am sure that you can see how many people assumed that you created this whole thread just to tell us that you have lots of money, and subsuquently came to the conclusion that you were indeed an asshole.

Why do you have to assume that is what he intended? I think you need to assume the best all of the time - so reassess yourself before you start calling someone out on a completely ordinary post.
Also, someone who gets an ego boost from an online forum is a sad sad person.

I have to agree here, I take things at face value, if I read into everything I'd be offended all over the place. Not to mention, so what if they guy is bragging he has both? If I got envious at everyone who had things I don't or those who have more than I do I would hate a whole lot of really great people - many I have become great friends with IRL from this forum!

What you should do is cancel the S4 order first of all.
Keep the S6.
Buy a Cayman S and enjoy the twisties with it.
Now you have a comfy luxo-sedan and nervous little twitcher for those special days you feel like raping the countryside.
No sense in owning two sedans that go warp speed.

I would have to disagree.
1. I think the OP's first post was clear in that he was asking opinion on whether he should keep both cars.
2. His reference to the 3months of ownership (S6) suggestions it is a car that is still new to him and the audi exclusive options (S4) gives the reader a better feel for the look of the car he has on order. In both cases it gives insight to whats going on in his head regarding this decision.
3. the purchasing "over ten cars from this dealer" and "Its not a money issue" are replay's to "Didn't you already order the S4? Isn't it a mute point?" or "Moo point" ;) and "Thats a financial decision you need to make based on information we will never have." respectively.

Well that is sad, but nothing you nor I can do about it. It all comes down to personal preference, I got what I wanted and what I needed, S6 wouldn't be for me. If I had to haul high end clients around or spent long drives cross country sure, but I don't so the S4 fits me very well.

Come on now. If you were posting these kinds of threads 10 years ago you would have gotten the same responses, just less of them.
I know they're both sedans but one's not sporty and another is.
I had never driven an S6, so I can't say much about it, but I think it'll be nice to have a smaller car for whatever occasion.
If you keep the S6, you can drive S4 to save gas (altho it's not really a gas saving car).
But since you already have a 'businessman car' (top gear? fifth gear? I forget), I would try to steer towards something real sporty like the cayman that another user suggested?
but yea, you did have an amazing deal on the S6 so keep it.

If you can keep both... keep both... both are amazing cars and have different purposes. The S4 is a fun weekend car and the S6 is an everyday type cruiser highway sled... love both cars. I chose the S4 because it was the next logical step for me. I like tinkering with cars and after dropping way too much money into my jetta.
And as to having two sedans. After my jetta is loaned out to a buddy of mind for some development work I will be taking it back and keeping it simply because I enjoyed the car and had fun with it and will have fun with it again. (after I get over the fact that I was hung out to dry by the tuner ha!)
