trouble. yesterday i went to the dealer to get an instrument cluster (the one that displays the car doors and temp) replaced because the things was fading. they were supposed to have ordered it in oct, but due to monkey business and assholery it wasnt here until friday.
fastforward three hours, im a mile from my house and the battery light comes on. ive never had electricial problems in the 60k ive had it, but surprise the same day the dealership works within the electricial system something goes wrong. i placed a call to the service manager and he unconvincingly told me it couldnt have been them. so i go and get a new battery. problem worse. the lights now dim and brighten repeatedly and the engine idling revs up and down.
i find this out in advanced autopart's parking lot. he checks the alternator and its cool too. so im leaving the lot to go home and again call the dealership when a lady scarffing down long john silvers smacks into the side of my TT. "i didnt see you!" she says.
NFS lady because youre eating lunch in your POS wihout paying any attention to the road.
it will have to go to a body shop for sure. she hit the passenger's rear quarter panel and the rear passenger wheel. i drove it home 0.8 miles, but dont want to risk driving it the dealership. its still under warranty and i want them to fix the electricial problem at the same time as the other stuff. im close to 100k and dont want to go over before they fix this.
my question, i guess: any idea WTF is wrong with my electricial system?
