Just test drove the new B7

Overall just a better car....still need to get used to the car itself....but the engine kicks ass and so do the brakes...As far as interior...CD/AC looks the same...dashboard is nicer w/ the color screen.....but I love the engine, w/ a chip that thing will move....Im gonna hold off till the S-line comes out

The Brakes are the old S4 put them on your car and it will brake the same. Get a K04 and it will out perform the car. Plain and Simple.

regardless, i guess the b7 is supposed to be great to drive, but i cant get over the grill, lights and long front overhang...individually i like the features, they just dont work together imo

Yea but if you keep it fair and get a K04 for the b7, then it will perform better than the B6 with a K04.

need a new manifold as well, the turbo and manifold on the B7 are one unit so they say.

Have any of the people that dont like this car seen it in person?? b/c I thought the same but the pictures dont do the car any justice.....I wil definitely be moving up to the B7 S-line when it comes out in a yr or so

yeah, i saw it at the detroit autoshow, i thought i would like it better in person- as things usually always look better in person, but i didnt, i did however love the new a3 and a6

I haven't seen it in person...but I think it's pretty cool. I still love my B6 to death...but the times are changin'. Just most B6 drivers don't whanna accept yet. Now we know how the B5 people feel when the B6 replaced it. (although, there is more change from B5 to B6 than B6 to B7) but still a change.

Oh yea....no turbo lag....I would beat it in my car (revo) but you can tell its got more power....so u throw a chip on this puppy and u can beat any B6 w/ a KO4

Jet Jockey provided the following......
- MTM chipped car is up to 245 Hp and 258 ft/lbs between 1850 and 5000 rpm.
- MTM chip/exhaust is up to 255 Hp and ~ 264 ft/lbs between 1850 and 5000 rpm.

I think it will be close......KO4 will eventually pull

Time will tell but a B7 with the 2.0T and the MTM chip is rated at 245 Hp and 255 Hp with the exhaust. With the chip alone the 245 Hp figure is higher then what MTM claims their Stage 3 with a K04 will put out.

The problem will be when you want to upgrade the turbo. Since the manifold is on part with the turbo assembly the cost of the upgrade will be more expensive. Then there is the FSI problem to solve too.

We may have to wait for ice age to have the turbo manufacturer to release the K04 for B7 with the manifold built in. One thing for sure, 200PSI of fuel flow ratio on the B7 is something that amazed me the most.

i saw the b7 at the LA auto show. I wanted to kick it. the rear on the b7 is a cross between a G35 and a Honda Civic 4 door. Big mistake Audi. Hope they come out with the new S-Line soon.

Actually this one will not be hard to overcome, turbo manufacturers will just cast a new exhaust manifold that will accept the center section and compressor of your favorite turbo.

ATP has been doing this for JDM cars already. As far as the programming goes...I'm sure this can be overcome too.

I guess I am not the only one who is looking into getting one. I think my next Audi will be the RS4, either new or pre-owned. I have seen the new B7 in person and it's not as bad as we make it out to be. There was one on the highway on my way to work and that thing can move. In a few more months most of us will out-grow the "front grill."

Really... the brakes are from the old S4? When I test drove my B6 the brakes were outstanding but after a week they went to shit; were soft and mushy and were screaming at me any time I touched the pedal.

I really didnt notice if they were more comfortable...but u definitely have more leg room...
