Who Get The Most Tickets?

I've always heard that statistically red cars get more tickets. I'd also heard that statistically that Audi cars get more tickets than other brands. For speeding of course! Anyway on the way home from work yesterday on the Bay Causeway, lo and behold, two Highway Patrol cars had a red Audi A4 B7 model pulled over and were writing him up. I had to laugh. I guess if you own a red Audi you are f**cked.

But seriously....I'm not so sure about your theory.

Tickets are given out to speeders.....period. When an officer has a laser pointed down the street they're just picking off cars over 1000ft (sometimes slightly less) down the street that are going over the rated limit....there is no decision about the type of car etc. If it happens to be a yellow Smart car, a blue minivan or a Red R8 the car is going to get pulled over if they're going over the posted speed.

I just think that is the reputation just because they are easier to pick out for cops to aim at.

I got 3 tickets in my old red c230

I haven't gotten any in my Ibis white A4. I drive exactly the same...

I had heard that the whole 'red' thing is not true. I don't recall where I heard it, but the argument that was being made claimed that if you looked at the number of cars that have been ticketed, the percentage that are red is very low.
