Turbo Timer

I have searched both here and on audiworld, and also tried to find info in stoney's links... haven't had much luck

Has anybody installed a turbo timer in their 2.7T..... I know that there is a built in coolant timer for the a6 but its true that this isnt very effective compared to a full blown timer correct?

I am interested in what timers appear to be the best for effectiveness and ease of use.... Cost is not really an issue for this mod....

Also, OEM or semi-OEM appearance would be a plus

Well the guy he referred me to doesn't accept pm's but I am talking to him via email right now... Basically sounds like most timers are created equal, and its all in the install as far as OEM look but I have yet to find pics of one in an A6...

From other s4 & 2.7T owners I have spoken with they say that a turbo timer is not neccessary item to have. Again because of the coolant, most turbo setups (other makes) lack that feature and benefit with the timer. Even with my car chipped I find it hard to get the turbos into a dangerous temperture range. 170-200should be the ideal are on the oil temp gauge. My gauge has never exceed 235.

My friend that I turn to for 2.7 advice was running a K04 setup with down pipes and exhaust putting down over 400 brake hp without a turbo timer. just my $0.02.
