so i just got the okay from the bossman to start using the cnc machine at work.... (i work at a company that builds plane components).. that means.. u guessed it imma start making CF molds... starting small then ill go crazy..
that being said does anyone have any solid works files for our interiors, mirrors, earbrows, anything? i need some practise... either that or i have to make everything on solid works which will take FOREVER
(2001 a4 b5 1.8t)

I could model some stuff on my lunch breaks...I work in Catia and Unigraphics...but I could translate to any format you need...I doubt you'll find readily available models of parts, but maybe...we'd probably have to measure and recreate everything...would take a bit but certainly not unrealistic...I too work for an aerospace company

I'm a B6'er though...and if money were to be involved I would need to do it on my home puter...I got Pro-E for that

So have you made anything?
I also work in aerospace, have a CNC mill at my disposal and use solidworks every day.

I may be able to laser scan parts for you. It depends on what you need and scheduling. I've been using SW for more than a decade so that should help.
This was something I worked on a couple years ago as a contract gig. Went from cad renderings to completion. Cnc'd tooling foam molds and fiberglass.

Do you have any mold making experience? Just because you have access to a machine doesnt mean you can just whip up a "CF mold".
I also highly doubt that anyone will have modeled out B5 parts for you... and btw what is an earbrow?

That sucks. When I get to a real internet connection I'll fix them.

Prototype projects like that are so awesome to be a part of. There's nothing more frustrating or rewarding. At least until management takes your project and throws it in the trash and says they're not competitive in that market any longer. blah blah
