I had to replace mine in B7 A4 with the same type of code, tried recalibrating and nothing, swapped one from another A4 and that did the trick. This is a clockspring that transfers the airbag connection and steering wheel controls to the steering wheel, you will have to remove airbag with the steering wheel, 10min procedure.

thanks, ironically I just changed the clockspring in my 03 Passat. I was getting an airbag fault with that car. I didnt think I would get this error for a clock spring. do you happen to have a part number?
Thanks

So I have this same code.... And the general consensus is the replacement of the clock spring fixes it? If any of you guys has on laying around still I'll take it.
Thanks,
Mike
