Alarm lights

I'm living in China now.
Here in China all the VW's and Audi's have blue led's in the doors and the dash.
Are there alarms any diy's on how to change them?
I can not find any.
I have a Mk1 TT I want to change my led's from red to blue.
How hard is it to do? I have not taken my door apart yet (its still in the states).

Do a search in the A6 forum. A guy by the screen name of 8520 did exactly what you are looking for. IIRC he did it to white, or possibly a brighter red. But I KNOW it is there. Roughly about six months ago.
