hi my moms has a 2000 TT 180 Qm and I was driving it the other day and realized the rear defoger does not work, we bought the car recently and I never tried to see if it worked. when you push it in should a little light turn on? ours doesnt. any ideas

I haven't heard many problems with that. Have you checked the fuses yet?

They are on the driverside of the car behind the door at the end of the dash. There is a chart on the inside of the cover to say what is what.

My car is actually at the dealership right now for this. Originally, the problem was that the turn signals didn't work. This is, apparently, a fairly common issue - they replace the relay and all is well.

When I got the car back, the rear defroster didn't work, and didn't light up (even when lights are on at night). Massively sucky, for sure. I suspect that either a fuse is blown, or those wacky audi techs accidentally unplugged something.

It's a warrantied fix, they claim very simple. I'm no mechanic, but maybe one of the more technically adept in the crowd can help...

if you can find out what they did to fix it that would be awsome, the fuses are fine. I didnt even know it lights up when the lights are truned on, we bought the car used so we had no idea.
