Anyone known who sells the European headlight switches? I believe that they are configured so that they do not turn off the fog/driving lights when you switch on the high beams.

Next question: Are higher wattage halogens (100 watt high beams) a bad idea? Is the wiring beefy enough for them. Thanks!

I would not recommend a higher watt bulb, as you run the risk of burning the wires that run to the fogs. If you are looking for "whiter" and brighter bulbs, I highly recommend the PIAA Extreme White bulbs, which are the saw watts, but much brighter.

As far as the European switch, I think that somebody from the local allroda group from AudiWorld tried that, and it did not work. I did a jumper in my fuse panel to run the fogs without needing the low beams to be turned on. It is a very easy mod, but they still turn off when the highbeams are turned on.

Here is a link to the fog jumper I did for my 2001 2.7T. http://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/375675.phtml
Warning, is you have a MY 2000 or earlier, this jumper wil work, but for some reason, you lose the radio controls on the steering wheel.

If you find out more info on the Euro switch, I would be curious to see how it works!
