View Full Version : Any Interest in Fuse Holder Terminals?

I have been performing some smaller mods here and there and I now find that I want to tap directly to the fuse box (for a 12v adapter and hard-wired radar line). The problem is, there is a special terminal that is used inside the fuse block (pictured below). The terminal can be had from a dealer, with a wire attached, for about $20-part number 000979227E. After doing some research, I found the source of the terminals and I am thinking of buying them. The problem is that I must by them in bulk of 100 for a price of $1 each plus shipping. Personally, I don't need 100, nor do I want to spend $100+. So, I am coming here to see how much interest their would be from others for this part.

I am thinking of making the purchase and then offering them for sale to others. I would not be looking for a profit, simply to unload the extras at about cost. My initial thought is to sell in multiples of 5 for $6.25 ($1.25 each)+shipping. Since these things are small and light, the cost of an envelop and a stamp would be added to the total order. Thus, an order of 5 would likely be $6.25+$0.75 for shipping/envelope. The cost of 10 would be $12.50+$0.75. At whatever quantity the postage increases, so would the cost for an equal amount. Non-US shipping may be a few cents more, but you get the idea...

So, before I buy, I just wanted to gauge other's interest. If it is not that high, I will likely look for another alternative.

Neither of them had the part that I could find. If you see that they do, please let me know! It sure would be cheaper and easier. I found it directly from the manufacturer, MTA. In the mean time, I also found that I can buy just 10 for $30+shipping from a place called eagleday.com.

Well the guy who I was going to buy the parts from never got back to me. In fairness, I was a very small order to him. Anyhow, all that did was force me to look harder, and I did. I found an equivalent part: Tyco Electronics 926965-1. If anyone is interested, the specs can be found at: http://www.tycoelectronics.com/catalog/pn/en/926965-1?RQPN=926965-1.
