Paint Code

Hey guys,

Car is a week old and my neigbors kid scratched the drivers side door. $*&%*(&*# Can anyone please provide me with the paint code for a 2010 Quartz Grey Metalic? Any tips or recomendations on where to buy the paint (dealer or online), touch up pen vs brush and method?

Paint code can be found on the sticker on the inside cover of one of your manuals or in the trunk where the spare is toward the left side. Touch-up pen can be bought/ordered from your dealership, in which case you won't need to look up your paint code yourself. Application effectiveness really depends on the characteristics of the scratch.

Thanks! There are 2 fingernail scratches about 2" long each. very narrow but through the clear coat.

I have had very good results with automotivetouchup.com (http://automotivetouchup.com/).

The Ibis White mic they cam u with in both the small bottle and spray can where a dead on color match.

Metallic paints are always harder to match up though, so don't expect fantastic results. I have tried to touch up VW Reflex Silver in the past, and the color never looked that great from certain angles and lighting.

used this to touch up my meteor Gray which is pearlescent and the match is pretty damn close. I can't tell.

If old enough to know better, make him/her pay for any damage.

Concur that LY7G is base paint code for Quartz Grey Metallic and that automotivetouchup.com is a reliable source.
