I bought this car off here and absolutely love it. I noticed tonight that I have a non-working driver side LED DRL. When I bought the car it came with these and I have found the threads on here where they were purchased from.
I took off the cap off the headlight assembly and found the wires controlling the LED from the stock plug. With the car off volts are 10.2 and the light is out. The passenger side is lit up and looks fine. if I check the voltage from the stock plug on there is no volts after the plug and at the resistor.
Could the resister be bad, LED be bad, both, and if so how the hell do I know this?
When it comes to lighting I am for the most part retarded. Any help would be great and if I need to post up any more info let me know. Car is a B7 S4 BTW.

I think we have the same problem... So I purchased a set of new aftermarket headlights from a guy on craigslist. I believe it's made in China .... Anyways, after two weeks of the installation, one side of the LED stopped working. I had it looked at by the guy who installed my HIDs and he said that this was bad since there were no electric current going through this when he checked it:

This is where the wiring goes into and then it plugs directly to the LED in the headlight housing, I think its also a ballast. I searched all over the internet for this model and found nothing. I do not know the manufacturer so I can't get the parts I need... I am going to call DashZ and see if they have parts that resemble that box looking thing since what they are selling is almost exaactly like it..here is how the set looks likes when they both used to work.

LED's don't require a ballast. They do however require clean and constant current for best lifetime/performance.
I forget what the LED guru's called the power conditioners they tend to custom make for their own installs. You could try checking over on http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/portal/index.php They are a great place to find stuff about LED's and all their various uses.

I'm having the same problem. The drivers side only LED just stopped working. Did you guys get it fixed, if so how?? I have power going in, but the LED's won't work, headlights and turn signal are fine. Passengers side works as it should. Thanks

Mine was driver side also. I took it out and put it back in and it was fine. I'm guessing there's a short somewhere but I'm not sure where.

Thanks, I took mine out to look at it but didn't completely unplug it. I will try that. I'm fearing the led's burned or shorted out and I don't see a way to open the housing to get to the led's.
