Does anyone else get a bit annoyed by thread titles like this, or ones that are only slightly more informative? I understand that in many cases, a background explanation is required before presenting the actual question, but a thread title such as, "Brakes Question", is too general and forces ppl to actually go into the thread or hover their cursor over the thread title in the hopes of getting a glimpse into what the actual question is before deciding if the thread is interesting or if they are able to provide help. It also makes it difficult to scan the forums for anything applicable.
If you clicked on this thread because you weren't able to infer the topic from the thread title, and you feel that reading this is a complete waste of your time, then you know what I'm talking about lol
Informative thread titles FTW [:)]

I like informative titles, but....
The only reason I opened this thread was because I really wanted to know what the "question" was - if you had properly named this thread, I probably would not have opened it...

^Exactly. If I had put a decent thread title, you wouldn't have to click into this thread just to find out what the question was, and I wouldn't feel obligated to give 1 min of your life back [;)]
I do know that ppl purposefully name thread titles ambiguously just to get others to click in and read, which can detract from the usefulness of the forum. Imagine if every single thread was called, "____ Question". Just put the question in the thread title.

yep - by no means do I support ambiguous thread titles... I think it would be horrible if you look at the forums and all you see is: question, i was thinking, what if, etc...

I was intrigued & opened b/c it was by Dub[:d]
You've provided lots of info I've utilized - paint matching Votex rear diffuser, Stone Guard installation, etc., thus I look at your posts.

You're too kind, Greg [:)] With all the time I've spent researching mods and whatnot, I think it'd be a huge waste to keep that kind of info to myself. I'm just giving back to a community that has helped me so much w/ my Audi addiction lol. Besides, knowledge-sharing is what has made humans the most successful creatures to inhabit the earth [;)]
