What magazine do you all recommend for articles on cars like the B8? I am going to be subscribing to one. I have been looking at Motor Trend and Car & Driver. Any preferences?

i was looking at EVO magazine but it is 109$ for a year subscription to get it to where I live, which is Canada. I am thinking of just subscribing to C&D too, would that be enough? i especially like the 2 year for 10$ pricetag HAHA

My wife just got my C & D and I think it was $16 for two year subscript.

I find Automobile to have a good mix of interesting articles and up to date test drives. Just my preference. I'm sure you can subscribe to it but Top Gear is my all time favorite! I pick it up each month and there is always a strong showing of Audi test drives/articles etc.

Just my 2 cents :)

Do you want mags that have articles on stock vehicles or are looking for mags that have articles on cars that have aftermarket modifications? If the latter, European Car is a good place to start. It's a US based magazine that has a mix of articles on stock newly released and aftermarket tuned european vehicles.

Leftlane News and Truth About Cars are good news sites - far ahead of C&D since they don't have to wait for 1 day a month to go to printing.

Typically, by the time I receive my C&D issue, I've read the news already, seen the website and watched the youtube video.

In the end, print is really out of date by the time it hits and there is almost nothing in a magazine you can't find online. Not sure about European Car, but the last time I read an article there, it was on models 2+ years old, so at the time, didn't have enough about my B8 to warrant a purchase. Maybe starting next year :P

I like Automobile and European Car. EuroTuner is hit or miss. Car & Driver is ok, but I never find many interesting articles. Top Gear and EVO are usually decent, but terribly overpriced since they're foreign mags. I really used to enjoy Modified Luxuy & Exotics, but they folded.

I've read Car & Driver for the past few years, and based on picking up Motor Trend and Road & Track at the grocery store every now and then, I think C&D is the best.

Keep in mind that you won't really get any information there that you can't find on internet forums, that's not what those mags are for. What you will find is interesting, entertaining and well-written articles on a bunch of cars, as well as some quality photography. Oh and you can conveniently read it on the pooper, unlike using a laptop.

C&D very often talks about cars like the B8, that's their favorite class of cars and is very well represented in that mag. It's a lot of fun reading an article by an authoritative figure describing and ranking these and other cars, even if you're not going to buy them.
