View Full Version : Magnaflow catback exhaust question

I've seen on other threads people state a magnaflow exhaust from a b6 (#16600) would fit on a b7. I know that there is a b7 magnaflow exhaust available(#16680). The reason I ask is because I can purchase the b6 exhaust for $100 cheaper that the b7. Please let me know if anyone out there has properly fit a b6 exhaust on a b7. Thanks! [:D]

are you using performancepeddler.com, coupon code 'bestoffer4em' ? the 16600 system i bought for my car through them was $591 shipped.

edit: just checked, and the 16680 system is:

SubTotal : $1,098.96
Discount : $421.65
Discounted SubTotal : $677.31.

im sure you can get a b6 one to work, might not be an exact fit or else why would they sell a different product. some fabrication to make it work could just be done while it is being installed at a shop, but is that worth the $90 difference?

Of course it is to good to be true. I believe this exhaust does not come with a downpipe. So it is basically a downpipe back system.

Correct me if I am wrong!

So 677$ + 300$/400$ downpipe = 977$/1077$ which is closer to any other exhaust available for the B7...

So the rest of the exhausts replace the cat as well? Isn't the cat in the downpipe?

16601 system definately does work with the B7. I had a B6 and I wrecked it. Managed to salvage the exhaust over to my newer audi with no problems at all. Direct fit.

I purchased the APR test pipe, and coupled with this system= amazing.

Best exhaust sound i've heard on this car yet.

Cat is before the downpipe I believe. And Most exhausts just work with the stock cat, you need to change the stock for a HFC of TP to go Stage 2.

I really like the sound of Magnaflow exhausts. I have thought about the custom route with Magnaflow mufflers.
