Holy that's a long thread in a short time!
Sorry to hear about all your problems. Good things seem to come from them so..:)
Any news on the engine upgrade?
Are you sure the RS6 and the S4 valence is the same?
Good luck with everything. Will be a beast when done.

i get all my parts from audi and the code for the rear valence was the same on both cars but only on the 05 reg which is 2005. the 2006 rs6 has slots like a rear defuser on them. the rear valance cost £28 and they only had silver the black cost more but i like the look so fare. i just wish i had alloys.

If it is just a switch it could simply but connected in parallel with last set of contacts on the ignition barrel so you would have to put the key in, turn the ignition on and then press the button instead of turning the key final stage though if connected up in parallel both functions should work.
Could some one with ekta get the drawing of the ignition barrel please? :)

So how do you start the car?
You put key in and instead of turning push the button?
Yeah. the key is still needed just until the first click and then you push the start button. it works out really good because your not really to start the car straight away with a diesel if I'm right. i was always told to just put the ignition on for a moment then start the car.
a little scenario is i get in the car put the key in to the click and by the time i have put on my seat belt and checked my self i just then push the start button.
