When I purchased my car the person who I dealt with gave me some wrong information about the car. He mentioned that it had some features and I have now realized that it doesn't. What should I do? Is there anything that can be done?
The features he told me it had were specific ones I asked him about. The features are mirror tilting(when in reverse) and car charger remaining on after I turn off the car.

Probably no recourse against the dealership.
Unless you signed something that says it does or doesn't have something, or have documentation of such features, it is your word against his.
I am sure the salesman promised you the world, but most of them do not really know the car in detail, which is a shame. Its there job.
Assuming you have already turned the mirror nob on your driver door to the right for the passenger side and it still didn't work, Your car should have the tilting passenger mirror feature capabilities, but it is probably "turned off" in your car's hidden settings. You can probably use a VAG Com and find the hidden option and enable the tilting passenger mirror. Check the VAG com threads at the top of this forum for the instructions of how to do this once you can track down someone with a VAG Com.

my car is a 2010 P+ A4 Quattro 6spd.
As far as I've seen the only ones that have the mirror tilting capabilities are the ones with memory seats, which my car doesn't have. Am I wrong?
And I do have some writing where he admits that he gave me the wrong information.
Can I use VAG-COM to enable the mirrors to fold in when I park?

if you have an admission that he gave you misleading information you can definitely do something about it, if you push hard enough for it, you might even be able to get all your money back. just dont expect it to be easy.

So to me sounds like there is some confusion regarding the mirror options. Both mirrors "folding" in is not a US option. 2nd, the right side mirror "tilting down" during reverse to avoid hitting the curb while parallel parking is on my vehicle which has memory seats. Just clarifying...
The charger should stay on.

Ahh, i see now, yeah there might be some confusion there, i was not aware that you could set just the mirror to move while in reverse. i will have to look into that now as i have memory seats.

I agree it "should", mine doesn't -- ignition off there is no power from the center console power plug. This has been discussed before -- several people with '09's have the same result. Yours does stay on? Is it an avant thing?

the information I received from the salesperson was that they did away with the power staying on due to people leaving things plugged in for a long time, draining the battery :(

had the same thing happen to me. Now I've got no light package and electrically tilting mirrors :(( Don't mind the mirrors, not that important but light packages – I get reminded every time I open up my glove box :(

Do both 12 volt plugs go off with the key? I can't recall.
I know mine do.

I've never used mine so you're probably right.

u r not alone. i just made my first vehicle purchase this week and i forgot to make sure the sales guy put down all the features he mentioned on paper. the car is still awaiting certification from Audi within the next few days so im glad i signed a conditional contract for the certification and e-testing, i think the certification would be the most important for your deal. but the car had a service reminder pop-up when i first checked it out, im not sure if the dealer is going to get the service done free of charge or im going to have to go get it done myself soon as the certification is cleared.
overall i don't think i did too bad for a first time vehicle purchase, i did screw up by letting them add sym-tech rust protection which apparently is not needed, but ours are definitely far from the worst dealership horror-stories lol. i hope to do better next time, i kind of let some of this crap slide because without this dealer i was probably not going to get approved by anyone else, especially at Audi Dealerships
good luck in getting your situation sorted out though.

Yes, but it is annoying as it doesn't return to the original position you had it when you pull out.
It returns to a preset position which may not work for you.

Yes it is your word against his, and it really isn't worth the legal fees, but you do have a case in court.
Sales puffery is one thing, but fraudulent representation is another... If they misrepresented the facts for personal gain and there was an understanding that the other party is relying on you (the buyer for good info), then you can push it forward. All this "they'll tell you anything to get you to buy the car" stuff is only true to an extent, pretty soon you have a case.
/legal rant.

This thread is painfully old, and kind of all over the place.......with no new knowledge being expressed that isn't already contained in other more comprehensive threads.
