My oem s4 wheels not only look like shit normally, they are curbed a little from the previous owner... i wanted to get some 18"rs4 style wheels or 19" oem rs4 wheels but came across a good deal locally on some s5 wheels. i just cant decide if the sharp edges will flow with my cab?
or another option is to put my 18"rs4 style wheels on the cabriolet and put the 19" s5 wheels on my car..........???????????

Wrong centerbore for starters. Not sure what the offset is either.
I also think the wheel is a little too sharp for the softer lines of the B6, but that's just my opinion.

I think it would look good, I would totally put them on my cab!

you need hub rings to make them fit

You'd need hubcentric rings for starters. B8 centerbore is 66.6 and B6/B7 is 57.1. The wheels are also et32 so they would probably just fit.
And I agree, your A4 could probably pull it off, but its also a USP and the lines are a bit sharper (if that makes any sense).

+1 on the centerbore, it won't be a direct fitment, but hubcentric rings are cheap and easy to put on. What's the width of the wheels? 8.0 - 8.5 width with a 32 offset could fit, it's pushing it though. Our fitment is usually 8.5 et35, and that's very flush.

but aren't hubcentric rings going to make the offset even more aggressive? and 8.5 et32 is perfectly flush with the fender on a b6

I'm running 19x8.0 ET32 I think, and they are as flush as I could imagine. Any more offset or any wider a wheel, and it would be to wide.

You're thinking about hubcentric spacers. Hubcentric rings are little plastic/metal rings that fit between the hub lip and the centerbore of the wheel so it's a snug fit. It's to ensure that you don't get vibrations using a wheel with a centerbore that's too large:
