Did it by mistake. Added an injector cleaner, pump clicked off and rounded up .90 cents and the gas was spilling out the top.

Isn't there some kind of charcoal filter/vapor filter along the filler tube or something? Doing this one time won't harm anything, right? Thanks.

Should be fine.

Hope you wiped up any excess spillage. Would take clean water/car wash soap to it.

Thanks. Didn't wash it off since it was only a little but will do that now.

ehhh, I wouldnt mess with that theres a charcoal canister that takes vapors from the fuel tank and reburns them thru the motor....

Once it clicks, thats all.

def. do not make topping off a habbit. It is bad on charcoal canisters.

however the occasional fuel system/injector/top end cleaner is a good habbit.

I use Lucas injector cleaner on a weekly basis. I also have a top-end engine cleaner called Motor Vac MV3 which is a very powerfull detergent and does wonders. Also quite expensive.
