Sorry I didn't take any pics, but anybody who thinks the new A4's rear lights look like a Civic and dislikes the new front grille, NEED to go see this car! The rear lights look NOTHING at all like a Civic and the front grille is not nearly as large and bulky as it appears in the press photos.
I was very very impressed with how the car looks. The press photo's on the B7 do this car NO justice. The quad split exhaust on the S4 Avant looks hot, and it has silver/silver alcantara which is nice, still prefer black/silver though.
The lines on the A4 are very nice and flow just like the A6.
All in all these cars look MUCH better in person!

It benefited Canada. We ended up getting it because the alloted didn't sell in US.

So true, SO TRUE! I just got back from the show and those B7's are fabulous. They look awesome in person. I was so impressed with it and I totally agree, the publicity photos hardly do that car justice. I really liked the way the front fascia of the S4 looked. I kinda wished they'd had one in sedan form, but hey.
how fabulous are those new A6's? And that A8 VV12?! Such a blast. Going from the Audi setup to the BMW setup was a serious drop, haha. But Mercedes-Benz got my blood going....whew [:p]

Were you standing next to me? Seriously I felt the same way. The A8 W12 is SICK. Currently I drive a BMW, and hold bimmers close to my heart. But the BMW display was weak. Nothing to exciting there, though I do like the new 6er. The only positive thing to come out of the BMW exhibit was a BMW NA rep confirming that the E90 M3 will be coming out in the fourth quarter of 2006 as an 2007 model.[;)]

bahahaha, I might have been! See anyone in an Audizine hat? Cuz that was me. I wonder if we really might have been right next to each other and not known, heh.
Yeah, about BMW, I was really kinda saddened. Their models are just not that appealing. The 6 is pretty hot, I guess, but their models just don't SIZZLE, you know? Audi and Mercedes-Benz just blew me away but BMW was just, bleh. They didn't have the M5, sadly (only one in the US and it was in Detroit). I look forward to that next-gen M3 (or M4) though [:)]

Sorry! I ended up going with my college buddy. The trip was actually pretty disasterous to begin with since he was badly hungover in the morning and I'd gotten home at 6:15 the night/morning before. We were some happy campers to start with, heh

You know I have to give you crap. Apparently its open through this Sunday, which is on my way back from Racer Factory. I think I might hit the show then.
Going to go and see what the Miata can really do!

I am still not a fan of the grill. Too big for a small car, but maybe I am just a retrogrouch. Just call me Oscar.
BTW the reason that the RS6 failed was due to it's late arrival and price. By the time it came out most people knew that the new A6 was near. Why spend $90K for a car that is going to be outdated in 6-12 months? The dealership offered me one at $72K and I still passed for that reason. If they had the new RS6 out now it would be selling like crazy. There is no competition from the M5 and the BMW boys do like the new one at all. All they need is a real 6 spd....

hahaha, of course you have to give me flak [:p]
yeah, definitely check out the show if you can. Just be ready for throngs of people...annoying, inconsiderate, rude, and dumb people. I mean, uhm, yeah, heh [:)]
Mike - you're totally right with the reasons behind the RS6's failure. Too late and tooooo pricey. Now would be an opportune moment to release the C6 RS6, but it's probably not even going to show up for years. Hopefully they learn something from the C5 RS6 marketing and adjust the pricing and release date accordingly...

Some of us are going to try and check it out on the final day, Sunday, before heading down to San Diego.

Trust me, wait to make any judgement until you see the car. The size of the grill fits the car well. If you don't love it at first sight, I bet it will grow on you!

I already saw it in Europe and I was very disappointed. I really like the new A6 though.

Sounds interesting, I wonder when the car show ends. My last race will be around 3ish so I would be back in LA by 6+/-
