Hi all,
Is there any way to tell if my 2006 B7 S-Line actually has adaptive lights and/or if they are working? I bought mine just over a month ago and am still exploring all the features..

It does have the Bi-Xenons and I can see them self-adjust every time they are switched on, however when I am driving around curves it is hard to tell if they are actually swiveling or not..
And then I saw this vid...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3_tMvhA3Nc

I assume the guy just has the engine running and is turning the steering wheel...tried the same with mine and definitely didn't see the pronounced movement as in the vid. Now I am concerned..[confused]

Sorry for the long post, I have already searched this and half a dozen other forums, didn't find what I was looking for..

Thanks

P.S. There are more issues/annoyances I have discovered, but will keep them for another day, another post..

Hi guys, any suggestions with this? Do your headlights show that much movement?

I am also noticing that one or both of my headlights flicker once in a while. I did find a lot of threads and a good amount of information on that...will have the dealer replace the bulbs/ballasts/both while my warranty lasts..

Thanks,

Hello, I have adaptive headlights on my 2006 A4 3.2L. You can not move them when you are parked.
Maybe since its an A3 they have the option to make them moved parked.
Mine move only if I am over 7 or 10 mph. When I am driving, the movement is like the video. Try driving down a street like 7mph and just move the steering wheel back and forth. You should see it move side to side. Hoped that helps.
I haven't tried moving them when I am parked, but I will try tonight.

I have the adaptive headlights and mine move alot when I turn. To me it is really easy to tell. Here is a video showing my head lights in action.

Wow yours do move alot. I have a 06 A6 with them and I can tell they move when I turn.
I show everyone. lol
But I wish they moved a lil faster/further to each side.

FWIW you can set it up in VAG-COM to do it while not moving it's called "Showroom Effect".. Dealers use it inside to demonstrate the Adaptive LIghting.. Otherwise.. just go on a dark road and watch them move left to right while you turn the wheel..

If you see them moving when you start the car then you have them.
