Hey guys, I have just installed S4 Xenon Ecodes on my A4 and need some feedback. Do any of you have a condensation issue with your headlights? I have a ton of condensation inside my lights and it seems to be getting worse. I just installed them over the weekend. It started to rain and I needed to go to my in-laws. When I got there, I noticed both lights had condensation in them. By the time I got home, both were fully fogged up. This morning, they are still fully fogged and now water is collecting at the bottom.

Please give me any feed back if you are experiencing this on your lights.

Thanks in advance,

No problem for me so far.

Obvious question: Are the seals properly installed?

They are OEM off an S4 out of Germany, so I would hope they have not been messed with or that the seals were compromised.

Had the same problem with my OEM headlights after driving through a lot of rain this past weekend and brought it into the dealership. They mentioned that it was normal for 'condensation' to build up due to the difference in temperatures between the interior of the headlight housing and outside temps. However, it only occurred on one of my headlamps, and not both, which to me, disproves that explanation. In any case, the service mgr. said that he's had a couple of ppl bring in their cars for the same issue, so he'll have it looked at.

No issues with mine either. I used to get a little condensation on my A4 but not so far on my S4

Well, I took it up to an Audi mechanic that I hit up every once in awhile for advice. He’s seen both with some condensation where it disappears over a day or two and some where the seal were broken. Mine has condensation over 90% of both lights and so much that it builds up and runs down like a cold soda can in the summer. He’s positive that the seals have been compromised. The funny thing also is that it seems to get worse with the lights are in use. You would think that the heat from the lights would help clear it up. Oh well, they’re coming off tonight.

This seems to be a B6 problem...I've only seen it on B5's with the clear corner mod that haven't been correctly sealed afterwards.

I read in another thread (http://forums.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29807&highlight=condensation) that the Xenon lights and housings are vented to allow heat to escape; that allows moisture in. Could be another myth started by the dealers?

This is normal on the B6's
