So I have the xenon system in my 2006 audi a4 3.2L and the passenger side bulb keeps flickering all the time. I've read that it might be the ballast but when I turn the lights on I can hear both of the ballasts so I dont want to change it if its not needed. Now I think my last resort would just tbe an HID kit. Does anyone know if its possible to install an HID kit in there and cancel out the xenons?

I dont think you can install an HID kit in there. You need to replace your xenon (D1S).
Sounds like a loose/corroded connector. Open up the headlight and have a look to make sure everything is secure. If it isn't, switch out the ballasts, ignitors, and bulbs with the working side to determine the problem.

take it to the dealer, happened to me, it's a common problem with b7 audi A4, they are suppose to charge you for the bulb, but my dealer replaced under warranty
