I was wondering if i get a new head unit do you have to bypass the amplifier or can you just use it to power your speakers?
If you do where is it located?
Sorry for the dumb Q's only had my TT for less than a month

you have to get an amp bypass, you can get them anywhere (like where I work, Best Buy) for $40.

The stock speakers will not work with an aftermarket radio by themselves. You will have to keep the stock amp which is in the back seat area on the passenger side in behind the first aid kit. The speakers are wierd like 2 ohm powered units.
All you should need is the wiring harness adapter that plugs into the OEM stereo connector in the dash. A good shop will know what to do.
