It was very nice, everything is updated, handles great, looks good, navi and audio is improved, bigger inside, etc, but one thing I did not like was the slight lag when accelerating from a standstill. I drove a dual-clutch, so I am sure this would not be a problem with the MT. Also, I have a B6S4, so the V6T engine/exhaust sound is a little off-putting to me, but maybe I would grow to like it. There's always mods for that I guess.

A proper cough:6spd:cough transmission would help

The lag is from either it being a new car and the fuzzy logic on the auto hasn't adapted to your driving style. If you drive it like a manual then you won't have this problem. It shifts faster than any manual can you just need to learn to use it like a manual and not an autobox. But the luxury is there if you decide to use it like an auto but it needs time to adapt to the driving habits so that it can shift faster if you decide to drive aggresively. Or if it has the ADS then put it in dynamic. The autobox in this is better than the manual gearbox IMO but just not as fun unless you use it like a manual.

Comming from many manual transmission cars I can say that this system is lightyears ahead compared to a manual. It does lack the personal feeling of a manual but the speed in shifts makes up for it.

Friends who see my car for the first time all say the same thing, "oh an automatic, too bad". I'll then let them drive it for a few minutes and their tones change completely.

After driving this car for a couple weeks I haven't noticed any lag though...

What LAG?!

Can you describe this "lag" in more detail please?

When it occurs/what you are doing/how much throttle/warm or cold engine/etc?
