I had an EVO 3-piece for about a year. The sound was cool at first, but then it started to get kind of old. I also tried the Eurosport cool flow which is an ITG cone filter right on the MAF with a nice powder coated heat shield around it. In the end I went with the ITG panel filter in a smoothed and modded stock air box. Sounds stock, is cheap, and flows as much if not more air than any CAI on the market.

No real appreciable gains. The stock setup is just fine. Most aftermarket draw in the hot air from the engine compartment. Just not worth the time and money IMHO!

too much money will either get used for cheap or make my own "cai" how hard could that be to imitate heat shield should be fun to copy tho...

Like all the above posts read, all CAIs are the same "filters on a stick." There are few differences between them that could actually equate to differences in performance. The Carbonio is without doubt the best looking CAI on the market, and is a great piece for show vehicles. The GHL unit is inexpensive and closely resembles the EVO MS intake. Eurotuner did a test a month or two ago and the GHL CAI came out on top, but I think I remember reading the the first place and the last place intake were <2 HP apart from one another.
