Hi All-

Most of you have probably noticed that when raising/lowering the top the stereo (whether it's CD or Radio) cuts off for a second during the procedure - anyone know why?

I could understand if it was radio only being that the antenna may be wired on the boot cover, but for a CD I just don't get.

TIA

Mine does not cut off at all, before and after I install SmartTop. But now if I open/close the roof using the remote; the stereo would turn on and the headlights go nut if I open the door before the roof fully opens/closes.

Mine cutoff with the sat radio and now with the RNSE. Only for a few seconds while the top moves...

fsttrp-

Lucky, maybe the '08's have an improvement.

Yes, same, mine just goes mute for a second or two during top operation and then comes back on.

Looks like I need to bring this up with the dealer - thought this was standard, but guess not...

My cab does that as well - cuts off for less than a second as it opens and closes. I does so consistently, and I just assumed it was normal - I have the Symphony II+ w/Bose.

Hmm...seems like there are some inconsistencies here.

I have the RNS-E

The only time I've noticed the stereo get interrupted is when it's connecting to my phone via bluetooth.

Do you have RNS-E or not?
