the metal surrounding my windshield is tarnished and no longer shiny. has anyone had success returning theirs to a new-car shine?

Mine isn't tarnished so I can't say for sure, but probably metal polish?

adams metal cleaner and polish worked good for me

Yeah, theres a cleaner also. I bought both at waterfest a few years ago when I first got the b6. The cleaner did remove some oxidation, the polish didnt really shine it up that much. Im sure theres something better, but I cant really tell if its alum or stainless the pillars are made of.
