9500 miles on it and 12k per year. 25/36 months remaining
Just curious, but i thougt AFS still keeps you liable for the lease payments, even though its passed on?

Yes AFS keeps you liable, so if someone decides not to pay the lease, your credit will go to sh!t.

Yes but how does that help you? If some other dude destroys your credit, it's little consolation that his got shot too

i know this but if they have good enough credit in this bad economy then maybe i will trust them? If not i lose a Few G's from audi turning it in? You guys let me know your the experts?

If you want to sell the car, check the buy out cost with AFS. Then post it for a few G's less on ebay or similar. Maybe someone wants to buy it and you will just take the monetary loss and be out of the lease with no damage to your credit. I would guess its a 2.0T and with those miles on it according to KBB its worth 27K. Drop it to 25k and i am sure you can find a buyer.

I know people do lease takeovers all the time. Check with AFS and get all the necessary details first. Otherwise, buy out and sale would be your other option.

$684 for a prem plus is way steep.. your going to have to offer thousands of dollars in incentives..

I was thinking the same thing... how the heck did you get your payment get that high?

He bought it 11 months ago apparently. And maybe rolled something in or did a sign and drive. But yeah I agree his payment is a bit high. Could just be from when the leasing was not so great at intro.

Very true, a lot of things go into calculating the bottom line. That is why many of the "how much did you pay" threads are useless to the next guy.
OrlandoSK2.....It sounds like you can be honest enough with us [:)], so i will try and do the same.
How is your credit?
From what we know so far and for whatever reason, it is looking like you didn't get the greatest deal on the A4. Oh well, what is done is done. However, I would suggest running out your current lease instead of trying to setup another deal. It is going to be very difficult to find someone in this economy who is willing and able to take over your payments. [:|]
If I remember correctly, you have your eye on the new S4. Tempting I agree, but be careful. I have known people who have tried to leave behind other bad auto deals to for the next best thing. These financial things have a way of snowballing and getting really out of control. Start fresh in couple years once your current lease is satisfied. Then work on a deal for the S4![drive]

You cannot trust anyone, let alone a stranger in this economy. Despite any best intentions, he could lose his job, have his house foreclosed, etc etc.
Even if you could get out of your lease completely, you'd have to offer thousands in incentives to make the monthly payment attractive to buyers. So you're going to have to take that financial penalty in the form of buying out your car from AFS and then selling it. See if any Audi dealers can buy the car from AFS at better terms

MiracleWhips and A6.S-line have offered some sage advice. For $684 monthly, one could purchase the same A4 new (without your mods, of course) in 60 months with some money down. You would probably lose and risk less if you arrange a simultaneous lease buyout and sale.

Not necessarily. Some people (me included) will not want 20's. You might just offer them as an option.

I agree with this. While in the much smaller "enthusiats world" you will find takers, in the "other" world, probably not so..... The problem is you will find most of the people who kick the tires on your proposal won't find much value in your aftermarket mods. [:|]
Been there before, it is frustrating.

ok, i'll be the one to call a spade a spade. just to be completely honest, your payments are completely out there and you're never going to find someone to bite without buying down the lease to the tune of at least 60 or 70 dollars per month.
i tried to see if anyone would take my avant lease with 15K per year at $620 per month with nary any interest.
hold on to the car, suck up the high payments for the next 2 years and save your pennies for an s4.
yeah im gonna say that my money that i put into it is fair for my price.

I said I would take it with a $6000 incentive to bring it in line with current Audi offers...... he said no!

It probably would be better to keep it or take it back to audi dealer and see if they would buy it from AFS. Either way, you would have to lose thousands of $ to get out of your current lease.
can you find out how much is it to buy out the whole car right now? your lease payment is very high, if the buyout seem reasonable I may take it off your hands. Let me know

Rebate Unearned Rent Charge whats that mean?
Rebate Unearned Rent Charge whats that mean?
If you click on the question mark it explains what it is. Basically a rebate that Audi gives if you pay off the car faster.

Yes. its included in the final cost of the car which is listed as Total Amount Due.
You should consider putting it up on swapalease.com
How many months do you have left?
