No significant problems at 20K, and a moderate amount of track time.

Mine is a bitch but I ran it into a Ford probe so I deserve it. Before that, it was a pain in the butt too but it wasn't nearly as bad. Some issues are just part of life with a modded car.
My parents are at about 45K with no significant problems.
I have had two tt's
1 2000 ragtop, and right now I have a 2001 coupe.
Never had any problems witheither of them.
However I have not really done any mods to either of them.
I am planning to chip my coupe, however the closest tuner shop is over an hour away. Sh!t.
