Before signing onto Audizine I was on VWVortex/Fortitude where I wasn't motivated to do really anything to my car performance wise, I just wasn't to touch some body stuff up since the car came with a mismatched rear bumper and a dent in the passenger side.

These pictures are after RS4 grille, and a repainted front bumper, hood, and rear bumper...

So back to the beginning of Audizine, I came on making my first post with the pictures above. How I cleaned up the car from the time I bought it and wanted to start a cool thread saying hello and showing the progress.. For two weeks I was on here before someone offered me a second hand GIACX ECU... That was EPIC turn for the worse. (got me addicting to changing everything I could) [evilsmile]

Having the chip installed for 5 days I ran into the lovely problem of getting on the highway, full throttle thinking I'm driving a LAMBO and then bam, loss of 90% of power. I was like oh what the hell! CEL came on.

That day lead to me getting Hyperboost DV's (159 a piece) and SAMCO upper intake hoses along with a TBB. Someone said you blew your TBB.

So I replace those parts, same damn thing. No power past 4K.

Turns out it was my Bosch MAF (common 2000 MY problem).

Pictures of all the unnecessary parts I bought because of the power loss.

Next, I really wanted a boost gauge. After all, everyone said once you have a chipped car it's really important to monitor the boost levels.

AWE Center Vent Boost Gauge

I unfortunately don't have the images of my first boost gauge setup in the car!

AWE Twin One Exhaust
My buddy picked up the AWE Twin 1 system and I fell in love first time I heard it, but the price tag being a little over 1,000 for the cat-back took some time to save up the money to purchase. The day finally came, and I loved it!

H&R/Bilstein Suspension
I had my exhaust installed 1 day before doing the suspension. I picked up the combo from a local on AZ for a great price and had it installed. I loved how the car looked, but couldn't even make it in my own driveway with the exhaust and low ride height!

H&R Coilovers & OZ Superleggeras

Although I liked the look of being real low with the cup kit setup, not making it down my driveway was bothering me since it was nice and protected back there... So from the same local that sold me the H&R/Bilsteins referred me to a guy who wanted to trade stock rims and my cup kit for his OZ Superleggeras and H&R Coilovers, plus cash of course.

Caliper Paint & Upgraded Rotors/Pads/Brake Lines
Next up was caliper paint so the stock setup looked pretty behind my new wheels... At the same time I said, hmm, brakes are getting old, time to upgrade! I went with Adam@SPP's rotor special (I chose dimpled/slotted) as well as EBC Redstuff Ceramic Pads, and Stoptech SS Brake Lines.

DEPO E-Codes

Everyone's first words to anyone new on AZ with a B5 is "clearcorner it". So, I caught on 6 months later and decided to do a replica E-code setup. The e-code (euro spec headlights) are desired because of the much greater light output, and a much different beam pattern that shines brighter on the road.

VAST Stage 3-
-First time I contacted Prince @ VAST was great, first off I thought I had known him for years the way he would answer questions, help me out and provide his opinions which were such a help. The Stage 3- setup consists of maintaining the stock fueling (injectors, MAF, etc) however you pop a 5bar FPR in to bump up the stock injectors' flow rate to get a marginal gain over Stage 2+. With the bigger turbo pushing more air, you need more fuel to compensate. The program also limits the boost to 16PSI and ran my injectors <100% which is better for reliability and longevity.

Stage 3 Fueling from VAST
-I chose VAST because over the few months before I made the purchase they became more of friends than anything else. Would call them frequently, they'd help me out here and there, and having hands down the BEST tuner for B5 S4's working on your car, Mike @ VAST AKA Piggie, you can't go wrong... My first fueling setup was RS4 Airbox, RS4 MAF Housing with Hitachi Meter (modified by VAST), RS4 Accordion, 42lb Bosch Green Giant Injectors @ 4bar, Lower Temp Coolant Temp Sensor, and Bosch Sidefire F5DP0R plugs.

This setup ran great no problems whatsoever, dynoed 350WHP/405WTQ on EPL's Mustang Dyno in CT...

Updated Stage 3 Fueling from VAST 2009
-With the growth of using the Siemens 60's on K04s running a much lower IDC (Injector Duty Cycle) and making slightly more power, I decided to make the switch. Everything else remains the same as part of the fueling setup goes, only change is the 4bar FPR gets swapped for a 3bar to run the 60's @ 630cc.

VAST Water/Methanol Injection
-At the same time of the updated fueling install, I had the VAST/Devil's Own Alcohol Injection system added for some more power.

Nice story man. It good to see a progression. Mines a little slower, but a bit more colorful as well.

lovely...dyno yet?

Yeah, base tune on 42s (Bosch Green Giants) came out to 350/405 on EPL's Mustang Dyno, not no bullshit Dynojet!

I have since switched to 60's (Siemen Deka 60#), a much stronger revision from VAST, and added water/meth injection, and a few other things... In the fall I'll go back and re-dyno same place...

I like consistancy. I dynoed my Stage 3- setup @ EPL as well so when I jumped to Stage 3 I could see the difference on the same dyno. Stage 3- was 287/336, so quite a jump.

How much did the respray cost you? I've been thinking about getting my front resprayed and then clear-bra'ing it. Damn car is a rock chip magnet.

Oh, and nice color by the way [;)]

Haha thank you... Re-spray total was around 2,000 including taking a dent out... That was after hours though a personal rate... I'm sure a shop would charge a lot for that..

BTW I saw clearbra on a Santorin and it looked terrible, if you do it make sure you do it right. Have a shop do it. I saw it going halfway up the hood and the guy stopped it really didn't look good at all...

I'm going to re-do my front bumper again and then 3M clearbra it! [up]
