Hahaha...dang man! Not even a towel or plastic down on the roof!? Good thing it was a tiny one. They always have a way of springing those things on us at just the right time, don't they. [:p]

everything turned out okay. i think the new wax may have helped. no scratches at all, and all the debris on the car flew right off after i drove it again. the car remained quit clean, surprisingly. afterall, that tree was only 6 ft!!!

hmmm wonder if we would've gotten into a big fight if the car is all scratched up!![confused] well, i did try to have it delivered, but she thought 35 dollars for 6 miles was too much!!!

I'm sorry. but when I saw that on AW, I chuckled...

It's funny in a sadistic way, sorry to see. Hope the S4 didn't get ruined or scratched.

ironically we saw someone doing this the last night as well. A black B6 sedan at that and their tree was a lot bigger!!! please for the love of your car, always carry a blanket or sheet in the trunk. [:(]

i would have used the good comforters to avoid scratches. then she wont ask you to do it again.

She wouldn't even let you go and get a blanket? The Touareg definitely would have worked better! It is a good thing I have my fiance so well trained. She would not even have asked.

reason #23 to get an avant!!

Avants are nice, no doubt. However for the price to fix any scratches you could pick up a 91 f250 in pretty good shape. I got one and if I go to the grocery store (seldom, thank goodness) I clean off the windshield, hop in, and park as near to the store as I can. In the A4 it's several times around the parking lot looking for a potentially acceptable spot, otherwise no parky. Of course there's the issue of insurance, maintenance etc, on that pickup. . . aw never mind, lol. But since I have it that's my m.o. Hearing all the solutions is interesting though. I think I'll put a blanket in the a4 trunk after writing this. Good idea FooFighter. Thanks.

Only six miles away? I would have left my gf there with the tree, drove home and got some blankets for the roof. You, sir are a VERY brave man.
