That seems quite high. I doubt it holds that much. Though, my 1.8t now holds 5 quarts with the new filter.

Our old truck with a 454 (7.4L) only held around 8 quarts.

Several Audi documents state the 11.3 quart capacity of the engine. The owners manual states a 9.5 quart oil change. I asked Audi about this on their customer service line and they confirmed that both numbers are correct but he couldn't tell me where the other two quarts hide during an oil change.

I had my oil changed a few weeks ago (5K miles) and brought my own oil. Gave them 12 quarts and got back two unopened and one partially emptied bottle so at least that part is confirmed.

Yes it does deffinitly take that much oil, and when you drain the oil its like niagra falls. The oil poors out so stinking fast its un-controllable.

The price is insane! Actually if you do the filter as well it's $30 just for the crap filter.
