Hey Scott,
yea that's weird with the PM. I'll try to get that fixed. If it doesn't work can you leave me the name of your shop so that I can look up the number (as opposed to publishing it in a public forum).
Thanks.

I also have a VAG COM cable that can do the long coding on the B8 A5/S5 platform. Done it many times for local S5 owners...but it gets reset evey time you take it to the dealership for repair work. They "update" the car, which basically eliminates most custom coding work. PITA, but easy to recode again if needed.
I am located in Lexington, work in Natick/Westborough. Shoot me PM if I can help you.

Hey - I'm coming back to Boston on Wed or Thursday of this week and will need to use a vag-com to just clear the airbag and ABS code after I replaced the module on my B5 S4. Anyone that I can drive to willing to help me out? It would be MUCH appreciated.

Hey, any of you VAGCOM owners in the boston area have experience turning off the seatbelt chime in a B7? If you do and would be willing to meet up, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!

i was at the dealer yesterday having my coilpacks replaced under the recall and they said i had a secondary air code, but would charge me for further diagnostics, so i said no. but i was wondering if anyone around can read the code for me so i know what exactly is wrong and what to do to fix it, thanks!

Hi...I stumbled on this thread and I was wondering if you by any chance you still had your VAG COM? I have a 2000 Beetle with the 1.8T and the ABS light is on. I'd like to get it scanned in hopes that it is one of the wheel speed sensors. I live in Lexington and work at Hanscom AFB.
If you still have it and wourldn't mind reading the code for me, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Danny-

Is there anyone in Portsmouth NH area with a VAG-COM? If not, I'd be willing to travel to Boston area to get some stuff coded.
Looking for:
ROW - Rest of the World - Headlight codes (no ambers with headlights or parking lights on; only ambers when blinker is activated)
High-beams with Fogs on allowed.
Headlight dash indicator on.
Remove seatbelt chime.
All windows down from key fob somehow.
Make unlock button in key fob unlock all doors (not just driver's door).

I've recently received the 2011 NAV DVD, however my dealership never unlocked my DVD player and now want to charge me $65 to do it. I don't want to go there on principle that 1.) They should have offered to unlock it at purchase and 2.) It's $65 to make the eject button work.
I was wondering if there is anyone in the area that could help. I live in Medford and work in Cambridge and can drive within a reasonable range. I could provide some cash if necessary, or a copy of the DVD which retails for $199 and is virtually impossible to find, other than from Navteq.
I'd like to get some other stuff done, while my car is hooked up. (Whatever the standard things are that most do)
