98-00 dash question

I was looking at the dash change between the 98 and 00 A8's. I see it is still the same size and the vents are identicle the same with the outerpanel. But they changed the configuration of the buttons and where the radio is. Does anyone know if the connections are the same through this change or not? Because I'm wondering if I can swap the 98 center dash piece for a 00 dash piece.
