-------------------------------------------------
EDIT: This is now a sticky. Keep it on topic.
-onemoremile
-------------------------------------------------

due to the plethora of "I want to see how these ____wheels look on a car with ______suspension,______calipers, etc." I decided to create another wheel and suspension thread to decrease the amount of threads about this subject. Do I think it'll work? Maybe. But at least I tried. [rolleyes]

Photos are a MUST. If possible have one wide shot to show the wheel and stance of the car and also a closeup of the wheel. Please list your type of wheel, size, and suspension. Include any brake upgrades if possible.

EDIT: It doesn't have to be your car. If you find something online, post it up. I want this thread to have just about everything. And in case anyone asks, I am aware of this page (http://www.europeanspeed.com/a4wheels.htm)

Here goes:

^^^those fliks look VERY nice on your car. The black wheel, lower trim and grille tie it together nicely. I'd leave the lowers unpainted.

IT's okay man, any contributions are greatly appreciated. Let's keep it coming guys(and girls). LET'S SEE THOSE WHEELS!

I know someone here has the answer to this question...

On ecstuning.com it says that the grooved bilstein struts for FWD are only grooved for the front ones, and that it doesn't matter for the back... meaning that only the fronts are adjustbale? is that true? http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi?make=Audi&engine=V6%2012v&model=B5%20A4&submodel=FWD&category=Suspension (http://http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi?make=Audi&engine=V6%2012v&model=B5%20A4&submodel=FWD&category=Suspension)

I was just about to order them and saw that.. maybe i'll think about the cup kit now, anyone know?

I'll take a scratched up bellypan over a loose pebble in my engine bay anyday. That plus noise reduction.

I wish i still had the car to part out.. insurance company got their dirty little hands on it and took her away. Then they wanted 4 grand to buy it back... But to tell you how it happened.. I was giving this girl a ride home from work when she decided it would be funny to jerk the steering wheel on the wet pavement. Quattro wasn't getting me outta this one.. 60mph on wet pavement sent us into a spin as we flew across the oncoming lane into a gaurd rail, through a ditch, and over a drive way. spent two weeks on the couch, with a lacerated spleen. it wasn't a good time. there wasn't much left i could part out, the turbo had split in half on the compresser side, 3 of the 4 wheels either lost their lips or had hole chunks missing from them, intercooler was broken in two. thats all i could really tell from the little i got to inspect. Oh well it all works out cause i'm in the process of buying vmsturbo's whip

now you've been around here long enough to know the answer to this. . . even though you hang out in the S4 forum. Aftermarket springs with OEM shocks, whether sport or not is pretty much AT YOUR OWN RISK. Of course many have done it, but there is a right and wrong way to do things. The right way is to upgrade your shocks as well. If you feel you must do it, at least consider sport instead of race springs. You can search this subject on here and even on AW. It's been beaten to death.[headbang]

I've know only one person to ride a setup like that.

19x8.5 Dronell M10's on Koni CO's. He couldn't get away w/ a setup like that w/o flaring the fenders out a bit. The fronts moreso than the rears. Ride height was ~25 1/2 all around w/ the tires just barely tucked behind the fender.

It looks totally awesome tho...

Bilstien Grooved Sport Shocks w/ H&R Race Springs - 18"X8" RS4 Replicas wrapped in Michelin Pilot PS2s

I've already adjusted the height twice, but I'm doing it again this weekend. Going up another 1/2" in the front and 3/8" in the back. Then it should be perfect.............

damn tre..i like the height of your car with the 19's... i was contimplating getting 18s or 19s...since 18s are just a bit too small and 19s are just a bit too big. i thought about stepped 19s w/ an 18in face.. but after seeing your pic..i think if its low enough 19s with a nice reverse lip would look pretty good. would you happen to know what height your car is sitting at?

Trefive
04-29-2005, 02:00 PM
I don't know the "exact" height...but it's about ground to fender 24.5" up front and about 24.25" rear. It took a while to find a nice height to drive every day as low as possible with minimal to no rubbing and I think I found it.

Stock sport or non-sport, they'd still be short-lived. No way would I run race springs (Neuspeed or H&R) with stock shocks. My Koni adjustables are set to nearly full stiff, and I still think they are a bit soft for the Neuspeed race springs.
