I purchased a warrenty from this company. I had seen the commercials on tv and was drawn in. So I bought a warrenty for $5200. I put a down $750. Ten day after my 30 day wait and the first installment of payments, I filed a claim because I smelled burning oil. They sent an adjuster to take pictures and document everything. They returned with a verdict of "This Is A Preexisting Issue" DENIED. I was P/O. Okay I am not an idiot but I am not engine savy. So I said I will just cancel my warrenty and get my money back. I read my contract to find and follow the procedures to make it happen. These MO FO's tell me I cant have a refund. WHAT!!!!! My contract says that if I cancel before 60 days I can get a total refund. These jokers try to sell me another warrenty and give me a $400 credit I can beleive this. I ask for a Manager the young lady who was actually nice didnt know what to say. Finally theput this DIC. head on the phone and he talks to me like my name was :"Rain Man" tells me if I dont calm down I he will hang up the phone because he wont tolerate frustrated customers. Give me my money and I wont be FRUSTRATED. I am ready to bust some hot loads and I do mean LEAD. BEWARE of scams

I'm sorry to hear man. I almost got a warranty for my car from these fools too. I tried to cancel it before my one month return policy was up and I was on the phone for two hours. They kept on trying to push me to keep the warranty and they wouldn't let me get out of it. [headbang] I eventually just exploded with rage and they gave me my money back.

These guys are very sketchy and I would stay clear!

I just called them last week. The first lady I spoke with that took my info was very nice (Ruth). Then she put me through to a "Specialist" to go over a plan. The plan they offered seemed reasonable enough but he (Jared) was very pushy! He wanted a credit card number to charge $517.00 to start the account and that the quoted price was only good for that day. I told him to send me a written contract to go over it before I pay anything. At that point he got very pushy and re-stated that the price was only good for that day. He followed up by saying "So, what type of credit card would you like to use?" I told him if he sends me a contract I will review it and get back to him then hung up.

Only good news is, they haven't called back.

Why do they have to be like that? I probably would have bought the warranty if they sent me the written terms. [headbang]

Why would you spend $5200 on a warranty?

This company is well known for these practices described above. Look them up and check out all the complaints gainst them !!! Aren't they the company that used to go by another name I think and started from scratch again due to bad reps and complaints/lawsuits
I personally could not be happier with my warranty!! Already paid for itself and I dont even have to deal with them ever!:)

9 out of 10 Warranty companies are f*&^ing scams. They are horrible people just like a lot of mechanics who "fix" your car. The dealers are just as horrible. It's a dirty business and they are out to make money. If you do some research into US FIDELIS you will find out a lot of info about how they screw people over. I think they have a couple law suits out against them and they are being investigated by the MO States Attorneys Office I believe but dont quote me on that one. They just changed their name last year because there other name was ruined because of bad practices. Anymore you dont know who you can trust to fix your car, sell you a car, or warranty your car.

Next time be more aware man otherwise you will get it in the arse again. Do your research and if anyone is pushy with you well.. It's probably a scam.

However not all mechanics, dealers, and warranty companies are dirty but you get my point its hard to find good ones.

But sorry to hear about your situation.

My opinion is the best insurance against unexpected car repairs is a savings account. Put the premiums in there and most of us will be ahead. Warranty companies make a profit by staying ahead, denying claims, etc. The only time I have ever bought a warranty was when I sold my house because the buyers insisted on it. I felt dirty because I knew it wasn't worth the paper it was written on, but it got the house sold!

Sorry to hear man, but I will never trust anything on TV. Seriously, why would you trust something on TV like that especially insurance. The legit ones or even the ones from dealers already giving us hard time when we try to claim something. Funny thing is that saw that ad. on TV everyday and keep telling my coworkers "hope that no one trust these people".

Hi guys. I am not really active on this forum yet, but am active on AW and QW, where you can ask about me under this same user name.

I am a seller of cars (buy-to-order) and extended warranties. I have not yet signed up as an advertiser here, so do not want to post prices, plans, etc until I have gone about it the right way.

But I will do that shortly, and then I can help answer questions, provide plans, and generally add something (hopefully useful) to the discussion.

I will hold my tongue on US Fidelis, but I think those that posted before me have an accurate picture of what they are about. In the end, these are insurance companies, and none of them are your friend. But the good ones pay what they are obligated to pay and do not do unethical stuff.

In the meantime if I can help anyone with their questions (although not to sell plans yet), feel free to email me at brucem105@comcast.net, PM me here, or call me at 856-912-2600. I will set up to sell shortly, and I think you'll find that by checking up on the other forums, people are happy with their dealings with me.

I've used them without a problem so far. They paid $1600 of my $2000 repair bill.

You paid way too much.

I'm paying $67 a month, total comes out to $1,700 that covers engine, transmission, heat, AC, Starter, Alternator, Water pump
5 yr / 100,000 miles Drivetrain Plus Warranty

They originally told me $2800, i told them i got a better deal from another company and they beat their price. My friend has US fidelis as well, he got several things covered without no problem. The repairs was $3,3xx and they covered $3,000.

I emailed the Gov. of Mizzu and the Attorney Gen. I was very discuraged. Today I got an email response from the Attorney Gen's office. They asked for me to send a copy of my contract and copies of all charge to my credit cards. There is a settlement in the works. I just want a full refund and the bastards to choke on a fragmentation grenade.

Well I have a new problem. It is going to cost about 2200 bucks to repaire my baby (2.7T). I have oil leasks everywhere. so much so that oil is leaking onto the timing belt. Most of the cost is in labor. I was told that one of the leaks require the engine to moved forward. NICE Where in the HELL do I get 2200 with a car payment and a freaking mortgage, AAU Basketball (My Son), Varsity Cheerleading(My Daughter) and a beer every so often. I guess no Bball or Cheerleading. Can a guy with no gearhead apptitude do this or should I stick to M4's, Sig's and Kimber's. Things I know how to operate

Where did you get that quote? I say go somewhere else, it seems you have bad valve cover gaskets, maybe a bad rear main seal (which requires tranny removed, not the engine itself). I would definitely get a second maybe third quote.

the quote includes changing the timing belt and bearings on passenger side

I would leave all the maintenance separate, only get quoted for the warranty work needed because they always find a way to throw extra hidden charges in there.

Why would you spend $5200 on a warranty?

$5200 on a car that's worth 14K max (c5) is retarded

Kind of funny but, when I wasn't "logged in" to Audizine it showed an advertisement next to your first post. Guess what it was for...... an extended Auto Warranty company. [:p]

Sell me your Kimber, that will get you some of the money for repairs [>_<]

I don't understand spending that much on a warranty. What is the most expensive thing that can go bad? That is half the value of the car. I paid $450 for my warranty and it covers the engine including water pump, trans and differentials. The guy said he usually sells them for $1500 and his cost was $750. I referred someone else to him for a car, so he gave me $300 towards it. I have no deductibles and the shop does the claim right online on their website. They pay the shop directly with a credit card within 24 hours. They cover maximums of $3500 for engine, $2500 for trans and $1500 for differential.

That is kind of a lot for a warranty, but if your planning on driving your car till it dies, then it can be worth it. You can benefit a lot from extended warranties, especially if you don't know any mechanics that can hook you up. Audi repairs can get expensive, as we all know, so I think extended warranties are the way to go as long as you know the history of the company and do a thorough check on them. I always start with the BBB website and ripoffreport.com These websites can help you not to get ripped off in the future. Good luck with getting your money back. By the way, a small claims suit may help you get your refund. The sooner you do it the better, seems like this company might be falling off the map soon.

It was a bumper to bumper warranty. I am usually good about doing my home work. But I was thinking about deploying again and I didnt want to leave my wife with a car that might need repairs and having to get a second mortgage to pay for turbos or something crazy. I read all of these posts of really inexpensive pricing for warranties. Where and how soon can I get another.

I just got talked into a warranty with ownerguard - $1600 for 5yr/100,000 mile on transmission and engine.

The thing that made me wary was the clause for the engine that says that only lubricated parts or parts damaged as result of failed lubricated parts are covered.

the trannie coverage also says lubricated parts including torque converter.

But my 2001 Allroad has 137K so I thought it may be worth it, given the reliability issues I have read about with the 2.7T.

I still have a $1000 to pay and still within the 30 day cancellation period, so can in theory get my $600 already paid back.

Anyone have any experience with claims on a similar policy?

Do you think its worth it?

Cheers
Rich
