Bye Bye M

Whats up fellas... I was wondering which aftermarket exhaust for the S4 was the loudest of them all. Also, which coilover setup allows for the lowest ride height? Thanks

Im pretty sure that KW coilovers can set it all the way down. Loudest exhaust would be just a straight tube.

Loud like rice? Nothing will make your S sound like an M. There is no mistaking the sound of a wrapped out M. My friend has an E46 M, and it's sure sex when we roll in that thing.
However, with a V8 you now have the opportunity to sound burly, don't fvck it up with twin fart cans.

My M with B&B Triflo exhaust sounds like pure heaven in my hears. I took one resonator out and holy crap that thing can wake the dead. I love the sound, its loud, but not rice. When I said loud for the S4, I mean the loudest you can get without having the ricey sound to it.

Not sure about the loudest, but just about all the companies that make an exhaust for the S4 make a non-resonated version.
I have seen one of the lowest A4s on H&R coilovers.
BTW the deep growl of a V8 sounds WAY better than any 6 cyl in my opinion.

I had Borla on my E46 M3 and it sounded pretty good without being rice, but I can't wait to hear the V8 with full exhaust!!--too bad I can't find anyone in Dallas with one---the sound clips on the net just don't do any of the exhausts justice I'm sure.

I guess you're going for that intimidation factor, huh? Check out Autospeed's true dual exhaust. I think its one of the loudest.

I think the UUC VM1/VM3 exhaust is pretty damn loud too.
As far as slammin your car, I don't recommend it, but go with H&R Ultras or KW Variant 2s. Good luck.
My old M with the Gruppe M titanium rear section was very loud but nice. Tone deafening if even that. I was hoping someone made a titanium one for an S.

The KW V3 drops the S4 front 1.4 - 2.5 inches and rear also 1.4 - 2.5 inches.
The H&R Coilovers drops the S4 front 1.2 - 2.1 inches and the rear 1.0 - 2.0 inches.

yea that's right you can go lower with KW, but from my experience, H&R ride quality is a lot better than KW.
