Ok, So the A6 has 4 cats right? 2 in the actual down pipes, and then 2 after the downpipes come down.

Can I remove the 2 that are on the bottom? anyone done this? any performance/sound gain?

If your car is a DD and your state has an emissions control statute in place, then you will fail.

Also, I highly recommend against this. They are there for a reason, to help control our on going pollution problem. If you really want to get 10 more HP buy a set of high flow cats.

Hm, ok this sounds interesting. Now what would I do about the o2 sensors that are in those cats?

and then what if I want to get piggies later on, can i run a car with no cats at all?
