Hello 'ziners. Took delivery of my [wife's] 2005 S4 last night. Hoo wa! Who knew family cars could be so fun? (OK, rhetorical question.)

Seriously, I think this car is going to be a blast. I can't wait to get it broke-in so I can open it up. Somehow its a little smaller on the inside than I thought, but who cares? That V8 is begging for an exhaust mod.

First impressions:
1) Lots-o-buttons. After a minute of looking around we were just like,"Ah screw it. Steering wheel? Check. Brake pedal? Check. Shifter? Check. Gas pedal? Hit it."

2) Servotronic. Wierd. My wife stopped at the end of the driveway while pulling in, "What the? ...ahh". Good idea, will take a little getting used to.

3) Power. Gonna need another radar detector. Pulling away from the dealer I saw that nice little temp tag vanish into the distance. She's already baiting me. I wonder if a husband/wife have ever been arrested for drag racing?

4) Feel. The whole package will take some getting used to before we're confident, but overall it feels great and very toss-able. Love the feel of the nicely shaped 3-spoke wheel. Although my wife already felt the car's relative heft. I noticed a little rebound control problem, much like Bimmer. We'll see after it settles in a bit.

Specs:
Dolphin Gray / Ebony
Tiptronic
Premium Pkg
Bose w/ XM
Htd Seats & Pwr Sunshades

Sold an '02 BMW 330Ci for this beast and have no regrets. Consider us converted.

Eeeexcellent! Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to Audizine! It sounds like you're going to love the S4, as if you don't already, haha. Dolphin Gray is such a sharp color, too. Show us some pics (of both rides, hehe) when you can! You'll have to tell us what you think of it once it's broken in, too [;)]

Thanks all. Pics to come soon. She [the car, not the wife] was at the shop getting tint done yesterday. I'll have to give her the first bath tomorrow and do the obligatory shoot.
